Don’t Listen to the Rabshakeh

There are days I feel like I’m living in a foreign country where the media is controlled by someone behind the scenes. I have been praying much about what is going on in the media. Recently, I heard the Lord say, “Rabshakeh”. We find this character in 2 Kings 18. He is the messenger the King of Assyria sent to the people of Jerusalem. He was sent to tell them not to listen to their King, Hezekiah. Sound familiar? Let’s pray that the voice of the Rabshakeh is silenced!

The messenger from the King of Assyria said, “Don’t let Hezekiah talk you into trusting the Lord. Hezekiah says, ‘The Lord will surely save us. This city won’t be given over to the king of Assyria.’” (2 Kings 18:30; ICB)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Say that you will honor the authority of our nation, President Donald Trump.
  • Ask that God would correct any miscommunication from his office, including the things he says and tweets, those his staff and Cabinet say, especially if they say it on his behalf.
  • Intercede between the way things are and should be in media reporting. Pray that the Father correct this, in the name of His Son, Jesus.
  • Take authority over the Rabshekah and tell it that you will not listen to him!

A prayer you can pray:

Father, we thank You for the spiritual principle of honoring authority. We can trust You to deal with issues that leaders make and will allow You to do so. We will remove ourselves from dangerous situations, but otherwise, we will pray. Don’t allow the enemy to take advantage of the things our leaders, especially President Trump, say(s) and do(es). Intervene on their behalf, Father. Call the media into accountability! We take authority over the Rabshakeh spirit and proclaim that we will not listen to his rabble-rousing against his leader in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Today’s decree:

God will call the media who are undermining President Trump’s authority into accountability to Himself!
