Throw Water On It!

You kill a fire by either depriving it of oxygen (don’t worry about it or talk about it), or you throw water on it, which is the truth. Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Media has become god-like to this generation, especially to the young. Ask the Lord to save and deliver our nation from media worship.
  • Ask the Lord to help the Church to avoid the bait of Satan – picking up an offense and becoming defensive.
  • Cry out for Truth in journalism and all forms of reporting.
  • Declare that media outlets and reporters creating fear and riotous unrest through their reporting will be held accountable for their actions in the courts of America and in the Court of the Lord.

A prayer you can pray:

Lord, we intercede for the tearing down of the altar of worship called “media”. Save this generation and turn our hearts to You and away from our god-screens. Forgive Your people when we take the bait and react foolishly, as if we could defend You or our President by our social media postings! Instead, we cry out for Truth in the reporting of our President’s and government’s actions. Lord, we know You see! Some who are reporting the news do so in such a way that people become fearful and so angry that they riot in the streets. We forgive them and ask that You would hold them accountable in Jesus’ name. Amen.

We will know the truth and the truth will set us free!
