Turning the Heart of America to God

Recently, Clay Nash and other prophets have talked about this being a season where God is increasing the authority of the Ekklesia. When I hear the Lord say He is going to increase our authority, I get excited. We see so much evil, chaos, and disorder around us right now. The activities of the enemy are front and center. Everyone is seeing the unrest, strife, and violence. These things are happening across the nation. If we don’t know Who God is and what His Word says about His ways and His love, it could appear we are losing this battle for the soul of America. Do not judge what God is doing in this nation based on what you see naturally!

In every revival in history that I know of, in any nation, everything was an absolute mess before revival came. Things had grown very dark and this motivated someone to pray. It might have been one person, or two, or a dozen, but all of a sudden, God moved into that mess and began to draw people to Himself.

When the prophet Elijah said, “I hear the sound of an abundant rain,” there was not a cloud in the sky. He perceived in the Spirit that rain was on its way. We have to do the same thing. We have to judge what God is doing by what we hear in the Spirit and not by what we see in the natural. We need to listen to the prophets. Most of the prophetic voices are saying the same thing right now. They are saying, “We are going to experience the greatest outpouring of the Holy Spirit in the history of the earth.”

All of this chaos is going to make people desperate for the Lord. They are uneasy and are searching for Him now. The plan of the enemy is going to backfire on him. This move of God is going to turn the hearts of men to God, and the heart of America toward God.

“Then Elijah said to Ahab, ‘Go get something to eat and drink, for I hear a mighty rainstorm coming!’ So Ahab went to eat and drink. But Elijah climbed to the top of Mount Carmel and bowed low to the ground and prayed with his face between his knees. Then he said to his servant, ‘Go and look out toward the sea.’ The servant went and looked, then returned to Elijah and said, ‘I didn’t see anything.’ Seven times Elijah told him to go and look. Finally the seventh time, his servant told him, ‘I saw a little cloud about the size of a man’s hand rising from the sea.’ Then Elijah shouted, ‘Hurry to Ahab and tell him, “Climb into your chariot and go back home. If you don’t hurry, the rain will stop you!”’” (Isaiah 18:41-44; NLT)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Ask the Lord if there is some area He wants to give you revelation in so He can give you authority in that area.
  • Ask God to give you His view of what all the chaos, conflict, and violence is all about. Be very careful not to allow your preconceived thoughts or political persuasions drive what He is saying to you.
  • Can you see or hear the “abundance of rain” coming? Can you see the way God has been working and why? Talk to the Lord about that.
  • Declare over America, “We are going to experience the greatest outpouring of the Holy Spirit in the history of the earth.”

A prayer you can pray:

Father, You desire to give us insight into what You are doing in America. There is an awakening happening now in America. There is an awakening of hunger. You are creating that hunger. All of the chaos and upheaval and violence is being allowed by You and used by You to cause people to look for You. You are the Savior. People want that right now. We must help them find You! It is not time to be silent, but to let them know that the answer is only found in Jesus Christ. We thank You for everything You are doing. You are working and we must see and perceive it. We must see these things from Your vantage point.

We agree with and believe the prophets who are saying, “We are going to experience the greatest outpouring of the Holy Spirit in the history of the earth.” We must look for the “cloud the size of a man’s hand.” We must be able to sift through all the enemy’s noise and confusion and look for the opportunities You are presenting the Church. The harvest is ripe and ready. Don’t let us miss this, Jesus. We boldly ask for greater faith and ears to hear what the Spirit is telling us to do. Amen.

Today’s decree:

God will use the nation’s upheaval to bring revival to America!
