Congratulating Judge Neil Gorsuch

“It is a great honor to announce the historic confirmation of Judge Neil M. Gorsuch as Associate Justice to the Supreme Court of the United States. Judge Gorsuch’s confirmation process was one of the most transparent and accessible in history, and his judicial temperament, exceptional intellect, unparalleled integrity, and record of independence makes him the perfect choice to serve on the Nation’s highest court. As a deep believer in the rule of law, Judge Gorsuch will serve the American people with distinction as he continues to faithfully and vigorously defend our Constitution. Judge Gorsuch will be sworn into office on Monday, April 10, 2017, in two ceremonies. The Chief Justice of the United States will administer the first oath of office in a private ceremony at 9:00 a.m. at the Supreme Court. At 11:00 a.m., Justice Anthony M. Kennedy will administer the second oath of office in a public ceremony at the White House.” (President Donald J. Trump)1

“But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him.” (1 Corinthians 2:9; ESV)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Thank the Lord for Justice Neil Gorsuch.
  • Pray for Neil Gorsuch and his wife, Louise. Pray that their marriage would be strong and solid, as he takes on his new role.
  • Intercede for Justice Gorsuch, that the weight of the office will not change his thinking, but that he will remain able to decide cases with wisdom and clarity, honoring the Constitution and the Rule of Law.
  • Ask the Lord to raise up prayer warriors for him, so that the political spirit remains pushed back and his thinking can remain clear.
  • Pray that he would, indeed, be a conservative in the mold of Antonin Scalia.

A prayer you can pray:

Father, I thank You for raising up and placing Neil Gorsuch on the Supreme Court as the new Associate Justice. I pray that You would strengthen the relationship he enjoys with the wife of his youth, thought he position may be stressful at times. We bind the political spirit and pray that it will not affect Justice Gorsuch’s thinking. Keep his mind and heart clear. May he stay true to his Christian conservative beliefs, honoring the Constitution and the Rule of Law, and may he serve in the footsteps of Justice Antonin Scalia. Thank You, Jesus. Amen.

Today’s decree:

We decree that God will watch over Justice Neil Gorsuch to will and to do His good favor.
