God With Us

Jesus was God’s gift given to us and He lived among us. He was born in humble circumstances to common parents. He experienced “the human condition” all around him and saw suffering, hunger, grief, greed, violence and other effects of sin on mankind. He brought glory, “God’s manifest presence”, into the mix. We carry that glory now.

“The Word became a human being and, full of grace and truth, lived among us. We saw his glory, the glory which he received as the Father’s only Son.” (John 1:14; GNT)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Thank the Father for sending Jesus to not just save us, but to live among us, so that we can know that He experienced what our lives may be like.
  • Thank Him that Jesus carried God’s glory and brought His Presence, so that we could see God in the middle of our earthly condition.
  • Ask the Lord to give you a revelation of this, then go and be aware that you are carrying His Presence into your everyday experiences this holiday season.

A prayer you can pray:

Dear Lord, I am thankful that Jesus walked around on earth as a human being, but filled with your glory, your Manifest Presence. Help me to understand that since I am saved, I carry the Presence of God also, everywhere that I go. I want those I encounter this holiday season to see your glory through my life. Change our nation as Your people walk around filled with Your Holy Spirit, bringing love and light wherever we go! Amen.

Today’s decree:

I decree that I am a carrier of God’s glory and His Presence that the world might see Him wherever I go.
