Mercy Movement
I certainly don’t see President-elect Trump as fathering this mercy movement, but I do see him as an agent of change who, in some ways, will prepare the way…a forerunner of sorts. I also believe the mercies of God spared us from Mrs. Clinton and her incredibly liberal ideologies—a leadership which would have moved us farther away from the turnaround we so desperately need. I shudder when I think about the 30-40 year tenure of the liberal Supreme Court she had planned to appoint. America may never have recovered from such devastation.
“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” (Lamentations 3:22-23; ESV)
Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:
- Thank the Lord for extending mercy to the nation where we should have received judgement.
- Thank Him that He saved us from a generation of Supreme Court Justices that would likely not have honored the Constitution, nor life, nor operated in the fear of the Lord.
- Pray for President Trump and all those he appoints and nominates to offices within the government, including our courts and the Supreme Court. Pray that they will honor the Constitution and life and that they would fear the Lord in all they do.
- Ask the Lord for a fresh revelation of His love to sweep across the nation, for when we know His love for us, we will not be afraid of the opinions of man and we will do the right thing.
A prayer you can pray:
Lord, we thank You for giving our nation mercy in place of judgement. We do not put our faith in Donald Trump, but in You! We thank You that You will move on our President-elect’s heart to appoint and nominate God-fearing men and women to our federal courts, to the Supreme Court, and to other positions in the federal government. We pray that our Justices would support the Constitution, the Rule of Law, that they would choose Life and honor You, Jesus! We pray that You would open the hearts and eyes of Americans to know the great love You have for us, so that we would not fear what man can do to us, but will boldly serve You. Amen.
Today’s decree:
God’s mercies are triumphing over judgement in America in this day and we are getting a national turnaround!
