Kavanaugh Hearings – Day 2

This will be a very long day – for Judge Kavanaugh, for the Senators on the Judiciary Committee, and, I hope, for those of us praying, as well. Stay with it, saints. Don’t grow weary. Each of the 21 senators will have 30 minutes to ask questions of Judge Kavanaugh. This means that the meetings could last until 9:30 in the evening. We will continue to be watchful. It is likely to be a very interesting and informative day.

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” (Galatians 6:9; NIV)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Intercede against tiredness and weariness for Judge Brett Kavanaugh, the Senate Judiciary Committee members, their staffers, and all of the intercessors on site.
  • Pray that these 21 Senators ask the right questions and that they will have ears to hear the answers.
  • Ask God to bless the prayer leaders and intercessors who traveled to Washington, D.C., at great cost to pray for these hearings. Let them see and hear.
  • Ask God to bless all the prayer leaders and intercessors who live and work in Washington D.C., as they daily bear the weight of intercession for our nation. Ask God to refresh them with the new troops working alongside them this week.

A prayer you can pray:

Lord, there is a long day ahead of us at this juncture in our nation’s history. We feel the weight of it. It could become a tiring day, both physically and emotionally. We ask for supernatural grace and strength for Judge Kavanaugh, the 21 Senators questioning him, and the staff serving them all throughout the day and into the night. Holy Spirit, especially strengthen the intercessors who have gone to Washington, D.C., some at great cost, to pray onsite with insight. Bless those prayer leaders who live and work there and have welcomed those from other states to join them in prayer this week. Let spiritual eyes see and spiritual ears hear Your heart and Your will for America, Lord. Amen.

Today’s decree:

Grace and strength to all involved in the Supreme Court nomination hearings for Brett Kavanaugh this week!
