Root of Mercy
“I have tapped into the root of mercy.” That moving phrase rang forth from Dutch in the dream of a Colorado intercessor. Just 3 days prior to the “Retrace the Covenant Tour”, while watching the Appeal to Heaven Conference online, a prophetic pastor in Missouri saw coins raining down all around Dutch. On each coin was imprinted the word MERCY. While standing ankle deep in coins, Dutch looked up and said, “Mercy is our new currency.” Fulfilling a prophetic word to visit 7 cities in 7 days, our team embraced the language of mercy as we traveled the east coast, retracing the covenant our forefathers made with God in the founding of America. “The LORD your God is a merciful God. He will not abandon you, destroy you, or forget the promise to your ancestors that he swore he would keep.” (Deuteronomy 4:31; GWT)
Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:
- Get down on your knees, place your hands on the ground and thank the Lord for the deep root of His mercy toward your life and toward this nation. Thank Him that He has not abandoned us in our sin and iniquity, but He is merciful, holding back judgement in honor of His covenant with our forefathers and hearing the intercession of His Saints.
- Reinforce the mercy cry of those 7 days by crying out again today, “Have mercy on America, Son of David!”
- Act on this by expressing love, kindness, grace and mercy everywhere you go today. Watch what happens as you open the floodgates of mercy in this land.
A prayer you can pray:
Father, we are thankful for your mercy to us in the United States of America. We deserve judgement for our iniquitous national choices and actions, but you have responded with mercy instead. We are overwhelmed with Your love and grace. We ask that mercy would triumph over judgement in our nation. Have mercy on America, Son of David!
Let us not retaliate in fear and anger to challenging situations, but rather, grace us to show forth Your kindness and mercy each day, spreading Your love throughout this land. In Jesus’ merciful name, we pray. Amen.
Today’s decree:
Mercy will triumph over judgement in America as God honors the covenant He made with our forefathers and as we remember Him!
