The Year of Reset, Restoration, and Restitution

“It is a year of reset. This is the day when we will be anointed for reset. This reset will bring a breakthrough for relations, for families, for the nation. God is going to turn impossible situations around. That’s an exciting word for 2020, isn’t it? 

“Now, there’s something else connected with this reset. This reset is also going to bring restitution. Many people don’t understand this word, but let’s talk about this prophetically. Restitution was part of the Old Testament law. These were laws of recompense for people that were robbed. They included recompense for loss of animals, bride price, money taking through defrauding the poor or so forth. 

“This was also seen with Zacchaeus. You may remember Zacchaeus in Luke 19 when Jesus said, ‘Zacchaeus come down; I’m going to stay with you today.’ This appalled the Pharisees that Jesus would stay with such a sinner. But it so touched Zacchaeus’ heart that he said to the Lord, ‘Lord, I am now giving half of my possessions to the poor. And if I cheated anyone out of anything, I will give back four times as much.’ In other words, God, through this word of the Lord to Zacchaeus, so moved upon Zacchaeus who had been such a sinner, such a thief, such a cheat and robber. He was the chief of the tax collectors and very rich. Just through Jesus reaching out to him, it convicted him, and he decided he wasn’t going to just give some money to the poor; he was going to give half of his possessions. And any way he cheated people, he was going to restore more than he had to restore. 

“And so, we see that God wants to re-establish what Satan has robbed from you. I love this word. When God spoke this to me and to other prophets as well, I began to believe for restoration. And we’re seeing restoration of relationships. I’m seeing some things happen in situations that were not of my will, different relationships that got broken, even in ministry. I didn’t know what to do about it. I’ve prayed; I forgave. Someone had spoken against me. But you know what? God is doing it, and He’s doing it in such a way that it’s just beautiful to see.” (Cindy Jacobs)

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” (John 10:10; NIV)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

• Has the enemy stolen anything from you, recently? Or, are you carrying pain from a prior season of loss? Bring that situation to the Lord right now.
• Let’s believe God will give you restitution. Why don’t you make a list? Make a restitution list, a restoration list. And say, okay, this year I want my life in this new era to have a reset. I want my life in this new era to be changed. You know what? God can do that for you. 
• Intercede for someone else you know who is living through an unjust situation.
• Each Believer has a different thought on which is the most significant issue of injustice our nation is facing. This could be a local issue, a statewide issue or a national issue. What has the Lord shown you? Call for a reset, restoration and restitution from the enemy into that situation you care passionately about.

A prayer you can pray:

Lord, You are the God of restoration. I see that You want to re-establish what Satan has robbed from me. I am believing for restoration. You are going to reset my life and restore to me all that was stolen by the enemy. You are going to make him give it all back. My health is coming back. My wealth is coming back. My life is getting back on track. I’m going to see a restoration of relationships. Restore my prodigals. So many things. Satan, you don’t get to keep what you took from me. You have to give it all back! I come into agreement with the prophets and I say this is the season of restoration, and even restitution.

Lord, this isn’t just for me. This is for the entire Body of Christ. (Intercede for that one you know needs a reset, restoration, and restitution, as well.) Satan, you can’t steal from them, either. We are going to join forces against you together until the restoration comes. This isn’t just for individuals, but those societal situations of injustice are going to be dealt with in this season, as well. (Intercede into that thing the Lord has placed on your heart that needs His intervention and turnaround.) I believe this is the season for this thing to unravel. It is time for righteousness and restoration to sweep across this land in Jesus’ name. Amen.
