Agreeing With Justice Ginsburg
“No doubt, we disagree with Justice Ginsburg on many, many, many fronts. However, have you found yourself in recent months surprised that – in some respects – she agrees with you?
“Ginsburg Opposes Liberal Calls for Packing the Supreme Court. She stated:
“’Well, if anything, it [court packing] would make the court appear partisan. It would be that one side saying, ‘when we’re in power, it was only to enlarge the number of judges so we will have more people who will vote the way we want them to,’ …. ‘So I am not at all in favor of that solution.’[1]
“Ginsburg Honors Justices Gorsuch and Kavanaugh. In the midst of liberal opposition to Justice Gorsuch and Kavanaugh, Ginsburg painted a different picture several weeks ago:
“‘I can say that my two newest colleagues [Justice Kavanaugh and Justice Gorsuch] are very decent and very smart individuals.’[2]
“Ginsburg Explained the Essential Gospel of Jesus Christ in the Cross Case. This summer Justice Ginsburg wrongly voted against keeping the cross on public land, yet her opinion did give us a clear picture of the true meaning of the cross:
“‘The Latin cross is the foremost symbol of the Christian faith … embodying the ‘central theological claim of Christianity: that the son of God died on the cross, that he rose from the dead, and that his death and resurrection offer the possibility of eternal life.’[3]
“There are many things for which we cannot and should not thank Justice Ginsburg, but surprisingly some of her recent actions are praiseworthy. For those things, we thank you Justice Ginsburg.” (Phillip Jauregi) [4]
“Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable – if anything is excellent or praiseworthy – think about such things.” (Philippians 4:8; NIV)
Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:
- Thank the Lord for Justice Ginsburg’s nonpartisan comments. This is how members of the Supreme Court should conduct themselves – with impartiality.
- Our Supreme Court Justices are not supposed to be politically motivated in their decisions. They are supposed to put aside their political persuasions and simply decide if a law or lower court ruling is constitutional or not. Thank the Lord that this very liberal judge clearly and publicly stated that.
- Bless her for honoring the other Justices on the Court. The Justices should be able to respect one another as competent Justices, even when they philosophically disagree.
- Pray that the Supreme Court would return itself to its limited governmental role.

Lord and Judge of the whole earth, we want to thank you for something Justice Ruth Bader Ginsgburg said recently. She stated that she was against impartiality in judges and that the courts should not be packed with people of one political persuasion over another. We are not blessing some of the work she has done on the Supreme Court, which we believe to be against Your law and which our Constitution does not support. We are thank you that she stated the danger in political parties choosing justices based on their politics. Justices should be chosen on their ability to decide if a law or lower court ruling is constitutional or not. Father, return the Court to its original role. Let the Justices make the decision to limit itself. Lord, won’t You introduce Justice Ginsburg and the other 8 Justices to You? Let Philippians 4:8 come alive to them. Justice Ginsburg clearly stated the Gospel message. Open her heart to embrace it as her own. Do this for every other justice in Jesus’ name. Amen.

The Supreme Court Justices will limit themselves to a non-partial role of deciding if a law or lower court ruling is constitutional or not.
