70 Days – Righteousness Exalts a Nation – Day 9
GiveHim15 will be collaborating with Love Ministries in a very special 70-day prayer focus. We are going to take a stand for righteousness in the United States of America from February 9th through Passover, April 19th.
“Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people.” (Proverbs 14:34; NASB)
RESTORING THE FOUNDATION OF RIGHTEOUSNESS AND JUSTICE
“For the Lord will not reject his people; he will never forsake his inheritance. Judgment will again be founded on righteousness, and all the upright in heart will follow it.” (Psalm 94:14-15; NIV)
“A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse; from his roots a Branch will bear fruit. The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him — the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of power, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord — and he will delight in the fear of the Lord. He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes, or decide by what he hears with his ears; but with righteousness he will judge the needy, with justice he will give decisions for the poor of the earth. He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth; with the breath of his lips he will slay the wicked. Righteousness will be his belt and faithfulness the sash around his waist.” (Isaiah 11:1-5; NIV)
“Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne; love and faithfulness go before you.” (Psalm 89:14; NIV)
We can stand before the Lord with confident assurance that He will never leave us or forsake us. We are his people and He is our faithful God. He never makes decisions or judgements by mere appearance. He always judges righteously and with justice. Love and faithfulness go before the Lord!
It is the desire of our Righteous Judge to restore the foundation of His righteousness and justice in this nation. He has raised up a righteous remnant to stand before him for this very purpose.
Give Him 15 minutes of prayer:
- Ask the Lord to restore the His foundation of righteousness and justice in this nation.
- Ask God to forgive us and our nation for every act of injustice and unrighteousness.
- Thank Him that judgement will again be founded and established upon righteousness in our nation.
- Declare that the upright in heart will follow Him.
- Ask the Lord to pour out His seven-fold spirit upon His people.
- Thank the Lord for his righteous judgments coming forth for the needy, and just decisions for the poor in this country.
- Thank the Lord that His Word goes forth and stops the wicked in their tracks.
A prayer you can pray:
Lord, we thank you the very foundation of Your throne is righteousness and justice. We are the people of Your inheritance in the land. We ask You to restore Your foundation of righteousness and justice to this nation of America. Lord, forgive us and those in authority in our nation for every act of injustice and unrighteousness. Lord, raise up righteousness in our land. Let our judgements be founded and established again on Your righteousness. Pour out Your seven-fold Spirit upon us so that our judgments and decisions are based and established in righteousness. We thank you for Your righteous judgments coming forth for the poor and needy. Slay the wicked by the words of your mouth. Thank you for your love and faithfulness. In Jesus Name, Amen.
The 70 Day Decree:
Lord God, we present ourselves unto You a living sacrifice (Romans 12:1). We acknowledge and declare that we are filled with the righteousness of God through Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:11). Your Word tells us that righteousness exalts a nation (Proverbs 14:34). We stand before You in the land You have given us, and we decree and release the righteousness of Christ into our territories, spheres of influence, our cities, states, and nation in order to bring healing, revival, awakening, and reformation to America. Father, let Your Spirit of righteousness be released and established in us, and in every place in which You have given us jurisdiction. Let Your righteous Kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:10)! Prepare the soil of this nation and realign us with Your righteousness! In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
