Three Day Esther Fast for the Supreme Court Begins 8/18/18

“With the current vacancy on the Supreme Court now in focus, we are calling the Body of Christ to understand the full weight of the situation we are facing. We cannot afford to have a new justice seated on the Court who would ultimately rule to uphold Roe v Wade. Proverbs 14:12 teaches, ‘There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death.’ So much is at stake. We must rely on clarity from heaven rather than simply do what we think is right. Judge Brett Kavanaugh has now been nominated to replace Justice Kennedy. Many are rejoicing over the choice of Judge Kavanaugh, however we, along with other concerned intercessors, do not yet sense a resounding ‘YES’ over this choice. He may very well be the man for the job, but then he may not be the right one. We believe the Body of Christ must leave nothing to chance in a moment like this.” (Lou Engle)1

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Identificationally repent on behalf of the Body of Christ for natural thinking which assumes that anyone the President nominates is the right person to fill a Supreme Court vacancy.
  • Ask God for the fear of the Lord over Judge Kavanaugh’s upcoming Senate Judiciary hearings. They begin 9/4 and should last three to four days.
  • The stakes are high for this Supreme Court Justice. The lives, gifts, and destinies of untold millions of more babies are at stake. Decree Proverbs 14:12.
  • Declare the way open for the one of God’s own choosing!

A prayer you can pray:

Father, forgive us, Your Church, for assuming that anyone our President nominates as a Supreme Court Justice must be the right person for the job. Well-qualified does not equal God-chosen. We ask Your Holy Spirit to make clear to the Senators and the people observing the upcoming Senate Judiciary hearings if Judge Kavanaugh is, indeed, the person who will prevent the expansion of abortion in our nation. Is he the one who will even find a way to reverse it? God, let the cries from the blood of the millions of lost children rise up to You. Our nation is lacking the gifts of those lives lost. Everything they would have added to our corporate lives and nation’s destiny is gone. For that  reason, and many others, we say, “God will only open the way for the one of His own choosing!” Thank you, Jesus. Amen.
