Examine the Harvest and Count the Cost
Want to see society be changed? There is coming a massive awakening. Get ready! What about when the evangelists hit the streets and get people saved out of compromised lifestyles. There will be those saved out drug addiction with their arms stripped from searching for veins. There will be those covered in tattoos that exalt the enemy and they can never be removed. How about the gender-confused that have had hormones and surgery but now Jesus has given them their identity back? They will come from all walks of life. This isn’t the Jesus Movement with simply long hair and cut-off shorts. This is our day! Our societal issues are far more serious today, and we are called to love those who will come out of these situations. They will stand beside us for all eternity and we must embrace them and put them to work inside our churches. They will need to become lawmakers and business owners, teachers, judges and pastors. Get your hearts ready for this unique harvest!
“So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.” (John 13:34-35; NLT)
Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:
- Look around you wherever you go today. See anyone unusual? Jesus wants that person in the Kingdom. We need to start changing our religious mindsets.
- Check your heart for any religious, pharisaical spirit that would want to keep certain people away from Jesus, or at least out of your church.
- Purposefully intercede for someone you know that is in a compromised lifestyle. Pray that they will know they are loved by Jesus. Pray that they will come to Christ or come back to Him. Ask God to use them fully in the plan He destined for them to walk in.
- Ask God for a greater capacity to love others. Not to accept sin, but to love people enough to share Jesus with them and then disciple them.
A prayer you can pray:
Father, open my eyes to really see those I sometimes don’t want to notice. Break my heart for what breaks yours. Lost people are those the devil has deceived, lied to, and caused to suffer deep pain in order to push them away from You. The most unusual often have the deepest pain and the highest calling which we can only see once they are born again. Get me and my church ready for anyone who walks in the doors. Help us to get ready to clean any fish that jumps in Your net. Help us to see them the way You created them. Don’t let us give up on them as we disciple them. Expand our hearts. Teach us to love as You love, dividing the sin from the sinner. We can’t wait to see who You entrust us with! In Jesus’ name, amen.
Today’s decree:
We decree that new Believers will be loved to wholeness by the Church!
