Declaring the Name of Jesus
Jesus’ name should be more than a formula at the end of a prayer. It should be a realization that when we say, “In Jesus’ name!” we are speaking with the full authority of the King, who gave us His authority. It’s not a phrase. It’s not magic words. It’s a statement that we’re moving in His dominion and His authority. We’re doing this in the name of the King!
“You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.” (John 14:14; NIV)
“You will also decree a thing, and it will be established for you; and light will shine on your ways.” (Job 22:28; NASB)
Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:
- Have you been asking with wavering faith, hoping that using the name of Jesus will get your request granted? It’s okay. You can repent.
- Intercede for the Body of Christ to fully know the authority we have to use the name of Jesus when we pray.
- Know that He is ready to answer your faith-filled requests at the sound of His name—Jesus!
- Make a series of faith-statements or requests of Him right now using the beautiful name of Jesus.
A prayer you can pray:
Lord, forgive me for hoping You are hearing my prayers when I pray in the name of Jesus. Those are not magic words. Your name is that name above every name that You say I can rely on when I ask for anything. I can be assured that You are hearing me and You will act in accordance with Your Word and plan. Forgive any doubt and unbelief I have been walking in. Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, what a beautiful name! Mantle me with faith as I make declarations and decrees as You lead me to now. Amen.
Today’s decree:
I decree that using the name of Jesus will assure our Kingdom victories!
