Recapping Operation Valkyrie

I want to thank all of you across the nation who participated in what we called Operation Valkyrie on Tuesday night/Wednesday morning (Dec 2, 2020). (If you are just hearing about this, you can go to Give Him 15 for December 1, 2020, and get caught up.) The miraculous way in which it came together was shocking. Every state was represented. My staff told me that while watching last night’s service in Pittsburgh, they observed thousands of you networking through the comments you were leaving! It was amazing seeing connections being made and hearts joining together for this assignment. Many thanks to Timmerle Kelly who is the coordinator of the Reformation Prayer Network and all of the state leaders who rallied the intercessors within their own states. Also, we thank Abby Abildness for coordinating the 3AM prayer at Independence Square in Philadelphia, PA, and the dozens of people who chose to gather with her from several states. Tens of thousands of people participated in this prayer effort.

The timing of this coincided with the final evening of prayer where a team and I went to all of the states that are being contested for the presidential election. We held 9 prayer gatherings in the contested states. These services were streamed to hundreds of thousands of people. 

The assignment of Operation Valkyrie came through a dream. As a reminder, the name Valkyrie comes from Norse mythology and means, “chooser of the fallen or slain.” The historical meaning of Valkyrie is derived from the Nazi plan to regain control of Germany should the people of the nation rebel. In the dream given to Steven Springer, the angel of the Lord used the name to depict an evil plan in America that would be exposed and destroyed. The dream also said, “Valkyrie would not sing.” Steven (nor I) had ever heard of Valkyrie before this dream. Obviously then, we had no idea why the angel included the phrase, “she will not sing.” 

Upon researching Valkyrie, we discovered that it was used in a German opera from the 1800’s. A robust woman playing the part of the Valkyrie was chosen for the last song. Therefore, the saying, “it’s not over until the fat lady sings.” 

The following quote sheds light on the reason why this phrase was used.

“The phrase [it’s not over until the fat lady sings] is generally understood to be referencing the stereotypically overweight sopranos of the opera. The imagery of Richard Wagner’s opera cycle Der Ring des Nibelungen and its last part, Götterdämmerung, is typically the one used in depictions accompanying reference to the phrase. The ‘fat lady is the valkyrie Brünnhilde, who is traditionally presented as a very buxom lady with horned helmet, spear and round shield (although Amalie Materna played Brünnhilde during Wagner’s lifetime (1876) with a winged helmet). Her farewell scene lasts almost twenty minutes and leads directly to the finale of the whole Ring Cycle. As Götterdämmerung is about the end of the world (or at least the world of the Norse gods), in a very significant way “it is [all] over when the fat lady sings.”*

Now we know why the angel said, “Valkyrie will fall and will not sing.” He is telling us that Valkyrie does not get to determine how or when this attempt to control the elections ends.

We are confident that Tuesday night’s prayers resulted in great breakthrough. We must understand, however, this spiritual battle is still in process. We must maintain prayer and continue to decree into the spiritual atmosphere. After Jericho, Joshua had to take more cities and conquer more parts of the land. Tuesday night gave a huge blow to the enemy – it was obvious that was happening. However, we will now have to continue praying for the President’s legal team to have wisdom, pray for the whistle-blowers to come forward exposing fraud – and they are doing this! We must pray for the legislative hearings that are taking place. In short, we cannot sit back and assume that it is all done. 

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Thank the Lord for this amazing strategy He gave.
  • Thank Him for the cooperation He has built in the praying Church.
  • Determine that we are in this battle until it is completed.
  • Continue to ask the Lord to help the legal team, giving them strength, wisdom, and strategy.

A Prayer you can pray:

Lord, we thank you for what you did Tuesday night. We thank you for thousands of people who joined together to pray against the strategies of the enemy in our nation. We boldly declare that he will not succeed. We boldly declare that Valklrye will not sing. We boldly decree that the scales of justice came into balance. We continue to pray for the President’s legal team and we pray for the legal efforts taking place at the state levels. We ask you once again to expose all fraud and deception and give us an honest, fair outcome to this election. We bind every attempt to steal it. In Jesus’ name…Amen.
