Christmas Day 2020

Merry Christmas. I want to read a familiar passage of scripture to you on this glorious day. I read it as a blessing and as an encouragement. It reminded me of this great battle we are in for our nation. It reminded me that Jesus, our Savior, is able to deliver us. May it reveal in greater depth the One we worship. Let it be an encouragement and a refreshing to you. I’ll be reading most of Isaiah 9 from The Passion Translation:

“No more gloom for those who are in distress! Although the Lord greatly humbled the regions of Zebulun and Naphtali, he will one day bestow upon them great honor—from the Mediterranean eastward to the other side of the Jordan and throughout the Galilee of the gentiles.

Those who walked in darkness
have seen a radiant light shining upon them.
They once lived in the shadows of death,
but now a glorious light has dawned!

Lord, you have multiplied the nation
and given them overwhelming joy!
They are ecstatic in your presence
and rejoice like those who bring in a great harvest
and those who divide up the spoils of victory!

For you have broken the chains
that have bound your people
and lifted off the heavy bar across their shoulders,
the rod the oppressor used against them.
You have shattered all their bondage,
just as you did when Midian’s armies were defeated

A child has been born for us;
a son has been given to us.
The responsibility of complete dominion
will rest on his shoulders, and his name will be:
The Wonderful One!
The Extraordinary Strategist!
The Mighty God!
The Father of Eternity!
The Prince of Peace!

Great and vast is his dominion.
He will bring immeasurable peace and prosperity.
He will rule on David’s throne and over David’s kingdom
to establish and uphold it by promoting justice and righteousness
from this time forward and forevermore.

The marvelous passion that the Lord Yahweh,
Commander of Angel Armies, has for his people
will ensure that it is finished!”

Clay Nash added this commentary for us:

“Jesus is no longer a baby laying in a manger. He is no longer a man hanging on a cross. He is the man that walked out of the tomb and who has taken His place at the right hand of the Father. We, as His praying church are seated in the heavens with Him through Christ Jesus. We know what the will of God is and what His promise is. Therefore, we decree to the nation, ‘Injustice will not prevail. Fraud will not get by. We will see a revealing, an extraction, and an exposure of the wicked agenda that is trying to enslave Americans. We cast off that wicked narrative and every immoral way.

“‘We stand strong in the rulership we serve under—that of King Jesus alone!. We declare that His mighty throne promotes justice and righteousness and is an eternal throne. He will rule over all with a marvelous passion. He will finish the work He began. He will fulfill the covenant He established. We may be faithless, but He is always faithful. Therefore, we can stand and proclaim His goodness, mercy, love, light, power and dominion, forever and ever. Amen.’”

Today’s Decree:

Today we worship Jesus. He will rule over America from the foundation of David’s throne, to establish and uphold it by promoting justice and righteousness.
