The Carpenter, the Bellows, and the Blacksmiths

Here’s another dream for you. A lady had a dream in which she went into a building. It looked like a carpenter’s shop with lots of tools for the woodworking trade. Along the back of the shop was a solid rock wall. It turned out it was built out from a cliff on the side of a mountain. You don’t have to be all that prophetic to know who the carpenter is and what the solid rock symbolizes. This is Jesus’ workshop. In the dream, He is doing something. He is repairing something. 

Situated in the back wall with its tip going through the rock was a very large bellows. So, the bellows was blowing through to the other side of the wall. I was the one operating the bellows from the carpenter’s workshop. I was representing the Ekklesia partnering with the Holy Spirit. (This dream is about Jesus and the Holy Spirit working together, and then we are involved, also.) The bellows were so large that I had to jump up to grab one end and pull it down to the other. It took all my strength to do it. I continued to do this through the rest of the dream. I never stopped. The bellows was being used to stoke a fire. This might be Jesus stoking a fire and sending a promise—another Pentecost. “I’m sending a Helper,” He said. “We are going to get this done.”

Then, she saw that on the other side of the wall was a cave. In the cave were many blacksmiths who were forging various weapons and instruments. She goes on to say that even though she was not in the cave, she could hear hammers pounding the metal on the anvils. I could hear the sound coming from the bellows. I knew it was busy and sparks were flying as they worked quickly to forge the tools and weapons. The forging of these things felt urgent and time-sensitive. I knew they would be used immediately. 

Jesus has been busy making what You need now. He’s been shaping gifts in you; weapons against the enemy for this era. Holy Spirit has been very busy. When it looks like we have not been accomplishing very much, it’s because He’s been doing more in the Church than through the Church in the last few years. But, He has been preparing a group of people to launch them out of the furnace, out of the fire, out of the blacksmith’s shop, and into the earth. The Carpenter is about to release a great spiritual army. We are going to have every gift we need. We’ll have every tool. 

“They raised their voice to God with one accord and said: ‘Lord, You are God, who made heaven and earth and the sea, and all that is in them, who by the mouth of Your servant David have said: “Why did the nations rage, and the people plot vain things? The kings of the earth took their stand, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord and against His Christ.” ‘For truly against Your holy Servant Jesus, whom You anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, were gathered together to do whatever Your hand and Your purpose determined before to be done.’” (Acts 4; 24-28; NKJV)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

• Worship the Lord and thank Him for His eternal plan and the perfect timing of it.
• Declare, “The days of Awakening and Revival have come. He has equipped the saints for the work of service and the reaping of the harvest.”
• Thank Him for forging weapons within You—the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, the breastplate of righteousness, the shield of faith, to name a few. 
• Consider past revivals, the Great Awakenings, and other moves of the Holy Spirit. Research a few – Cane Ridge, KY, Azusa Street, CA, the Welsh revival, the Hebrides revival, and others. Let Your faith build.
• Boldly ask the Lord to send you into the harvest or send the harvest to you. Decide to be a sharp threshing instrument with teeth, destroying every work of the evil one who would try steal souls from the Lord.

A prayer you can pray:

Father, You are pouring out Your Spirit in these days. You are giving us everything we can possibly need to reap, build, plant, war, and run with endurance, never growing weary. You have been forging in us something we haven’t even realized until now. You have brought us through Pentecost and now You are saying, “Pick up the tools I have given you. Understand the spiritual weapons of your warfare that I have forged for you. They are in you. My Holy Spirit will teach You how to use them at maximum capacity and effectiveness. It is time.” 

You are about to take all of the past revivals, all of the gifts, and all of the truths, and You are going to bring them together in one great outpouring of Your Holy Spirit. As in every Great Awakening before now, You will now show us the work You have been doing in secret. People will come from everywhere, hungry to learn of You. Healings and miracles will be effortless, because You’ve drawn the people by Your Spirit and You know what they need. You will save, heal, deliver, and baptize in the Holy Spirit. They will be discipled quickly and, even in the midst of that discipling will become teachers to those newer in faith. The harvesters will overtake those who sow. Come, Lord Jesus, Great Carpenter and King. Pour Your Holy Spirit out on us afresh. Amen.
