Possessing His Promises in the New Era

[Beginning on 4/21, I asked my brother, Tim Sheets, to share some thoughts with us over the next few days, so we can pray with spiritual insight. We are going to talk about what God has to say to the Church and this nation right now.]

TIM SHEETS:

I have started to talk back to the television. I hear those in the media and other experts in this situation around the world telling me that I have to accept this situation as the “new normal”. No! I’m not going to accept this as my new normal. This is not normal. It’s abnormal, and I’m accepting that. I’m not the only one. So many of God’s people are hearing those words and canceling them over their cities and states. They are declaring, “No! God says this…”

We’re seeing things totally differently than what the world’s presenting. I’m seeing revival in hearts. What’s propelling this is that technology is staggering. Media has been using it to speak to the whole world at once. Anyone can now do this to get their message out. We Christians can now give a Word and the whole world can hear it. It doesn’t take months or years for strategies to get out there, as it did in the early Church. They had to write letters and hope they got to their destinations. We can get the Word out in a few hours. The speed now is incredible.

The day after Passover, I was praying in my office and immediately I was in the Spirit. I began to see Christ and the breakthrough angels that accompany Him. I have seen them a number of times before. They carry these big mallets and they strike the earth with them. When they strike the earth, the earth shakes and they make a decree. They say, “Break up! Break out! Break through!” This time, however, the Holy Spirit had them add “Pass over!” 

Something has definitely shifted this Passover. We are breaking up, breaking out, breaking through, and possessing His promises now in this new era. We have reached a fullness of time. Because of the technology we now have, Believers around the world could enter into this all together as we received the revelation of the Passover this year. Now, we can all get this message out quickly to those who haven’t yet heard.

“At that time Michael, the great prince who protects your people, will arise. There will be a time of distress such as has not happened from the beginning of nations until then. But at that time your people—everyone whose name is found written in the book—will be delivered. Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever.” (Daniel 12:1 and 3; NIV)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • We must let hope and faith rise within us and expect that our enemies will be scattered!
  • Declare, “We are not accepting this shutdown, this lockdown, as our ‘new normal’!” 
  • Prophesy what God is saying your future normal will look like!
  • Prophesy what God is saying the Church’s future normal will look like!
  • Prophesy what God is saying the nation’s future normal will look like!
  • Thank the Lord for the technology that allows us to spread the Gospel faster and farther than ever before in history.
  • Intercede for the media and their proper use or disuse of their platforms.

A prayer you can pray:

Father, we feel hope arising in this season of limitations. Faith is rising. Creativity is rising. We aren’t going to be in this position forever, and we won’t allow anyone to make us think we will be. We are not accepting this shutdown, this lockdown, as our ‘new normal’! We are praying and learning and innovating. When we are released from this we will see the multiplication that occurred, even as it has throughout history. You are using this time to reset and multiply. You will restore to us all that was lost. We say, “We will regain all and more, because God is good to us. We will show forth with signs and wonders Who He is.”

We will prophesy what You are saying over ourselves, our families, our businesses, and our ministries. We will prophesy the future of the Church in accordance with Your Holy scriptures. We will prophesy the way forward for our nation. We will say what You are saying. We will proclaim what is on Your heart. This is not the end. This is not the collapse of life as we know it. Judge what needs judged, Lord, and redeem what needs redeemed. We say, “Let God arise and every one of His enemies be scattered!” Let those in the media find themselves reporting truth. Let truth be honored in America again, and every lie be found out, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

We are breaking up, breaking out, breaking through, and possessing His promises now!
