The Church Can Shift The Atmosphere – Part 1
We are living through an unprecedented time in the earth. As we moved into this new era of 5780, many prophetic voices were saying this. Some of the things the Lord was saying were that it would be an unusual time, and that we would see an unprecedented harvest of souls. I found myself wondering what was going to happen in this new era that would open people’s hearts to the Lord in such great measure. That’s an odd thing to think, but that’s what happens to me. Beside the ways the Lord was leading my messages and my intercession, people had sent me many dreams and visions about the Spring. One of them was the exact season we are in now—right as the cherry trees would be blossoming in Washington, D.C. Just to be clear, I did NOT see a pandemic, but I felt something was coming. We see in part and we understand in part.
Chuck Pierce saw a pestilence coming. On January 26th, he prophesied, “I saw a massive plague-like invasion would test us through Passover.” On February 28th, he prophesied, “I say to you that there are battles raging at the gate, but I say, ‘Let My sound arise and the battle at the gate will begin to turn.’ I say to nations and the remnant that’s in them, ‘I say, rise up and let My voice be heard. And, your nation will begin to shift.’ I say, ‘This is a time for shifting nations, shifting lands, shifting inheritances, and shifting people’s bloodlines.’ I say, ‘Rise up and the battle at the gate will shift!’”
So, here we are in the midst of something that is very threatening to a lot of people. Some are sick or are worried about sick loved ones. Some are concerned about themselves or family members becoming sick. Some are losing their jobs now, as government restrictions grow tighter, and public fear grows greater. Government officials and healthcare workers, restaurant workers, and airline baggage handlers have had positive test results. So, there is a lot of fear out there. The world needs hope. The world needs the anchor for their souls that only Jesus provides.
“Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place, no evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; for He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways.” (Psalm 91:9-11; NKJV)
Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:
- Bless your household, extended family and neighbors with life, health, and peace. It doesn’t matter if they know the Lord or not. We are to bless and curse not.
- Intercede for the salvation of those in every home on your block. (We don’t know if they are or not saved. Best to pray that they know Him or come to know Him more in this crisis season.)
- Ask the Lord to meet every need those around you have for provision and health.
- Pray for the businesses in your community. Bless them and command a minimizing of loss. Remember that the business supports many individuals and families.
- Pray against a small business owner’s fear of loss. Poor business decisions are made in times of desperation.
A prayer you can pray:
Father, we want to lift up individuals and businesses in America today. We want to cover them in prayer and ask for a shortening of this pestilence that has come upon our nation. We desire to see it stopped in our neighborhoods, cities, and regions. We, therefore, make these faith-filled declarations of holy scripture over individual, families, and businesses:
The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace (Numbers 6:24-26; ESV). May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7; ESV). I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers (3 John 1:2; NKJV). Jesus said, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6; ESV). And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12; ESV). Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household (Acts 16:31; NIV). Jesus said, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that (you) may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10; ESV).” He also said, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened” (Matthew 7:7-8; ESV). Jesus promised, “Do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they (Matthew 6:25-26; NASB)?” My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19; ESV).
Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established (Proverbs 16:3; ESV). Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God (Philippians 4:6; ESV). God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. Know Him! Trust Him! He is saying to you, “Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11; NLT).” “Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you (Jeremiah 29:12; NIV).” Do not rob or take advantage of anyone. Do not hold back the wages of someone you have hired, not even for one night (Leviticus 19:13: GNT). Good will come to those who are generous and lend freely, who conduct their affairs with justice.(Psalm 112:5; NIV).
Jesus, we know You hear us when we pray with clean hands and a pure heart, so we ask these things in Your Name. Amen.
Today’s decree:
The Word of the Lord declared over the nation will shift what needs shifted, bringing hope and salvation!
