Words With an Assignment
I love Isaiah 55:11, “So will My word be which goes forth from My mouth; it will not return to Me empty, without accomplishing what I desire, and without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it.” (NASB)
The Message translation says, “My words will accomplish the assignment I gave them.” When He speaks something into the Earth, He says, “My words have assignments on them. They will accomplish what I have assigned them to do.” You need to be diligent over the next 4 months. There should not be a day that goes by that you are not decreeing something into the atmosphere over this nation. No word spoken by God through you will return to Him without having accomplished something in the earth.
Jesus didn’t just think, “Peace, be still,” to the storm. He didn’t just tell his frightened disciples, “The storm is going to be peaceful and still now.” He declared it, addressing the storm, because He knew spoken words have power. He didn’t say it because storms have ears and can hear. He said it because the power in Him needed to get out of His mouth! He said to the fig tree, “No one will ever eat from you again.” He said, “Lazarus come forth!” And, the assignment those words had accomplished what He said.
“So it is when I declare something. My word will go out and not return to Me empty, but it will do what I wanted; it will accomplish what I determined.” (Isaiah 55:11; VOICE)
Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:
- When you drive through your neighborhood, you need to be saying, “The Glory of God’s coming to my neighborhood!”
- When you are out and about in your city, you need to be saying, “God’s about to pour out extraordinary miracles that are going to awaken my city and state and region and a nation.”
- The way we are going to accomplish His Will is to let Him fill our mouths with His Words. Say, “Lord, help me open my mouth and decree what You are telling me to decree.”
- Decree anything else He lays on your heart. Let His words on assignment flow through your mouth.
A prayer you can pray:
God, thank You for showing us that You speak through Your people. You don’t just speak things out of heaven today. You speak through Your people. This is the sword you talk about in Ephesians 6. It is Your Word spoken by us! Your Word is not a sword against the enemy until we say it. Thinking it doesn’t do anything to the devil. Help us get our mouths open and speaking out Your words, Lord! Put those words on assignment in our mouths, so we can get them out there creating Your purposes wherever You have destined them to go. Our minds will change as we speak Your words. Our families will change. Our cities will change. Our nation will change. It won’t be because we have faith. It will happen because that faith causes us to release words You have given us to declare, and we have done it.
We will say, “The Glory of God’s coming to my neighborhood!” We will proclaim, “God’s about to pour out extraordinary miracles that are going to awaken my city and state and region and a nation.” Fill our hearts and mouths with words and give us the faith to deliver them. You are saying that we will speak for You into the atmosphere of the nation and its going to do something. Our words on assignment are going to do more than make us feel good in a room full of intercessors. The words are going to go out into atmosphere and into the nation and cause things to topple and fall, and cause other things to rise up. Send them forth through us, Jesus. Amen.
Today’s decree:
God’s words spoken by faith through His people are words on assignment to effect miraculous change!
