The Decade of the Decree – Part 2

Let’s look at where God called Jeremiah as a prophet in Jeremiah 1:9-10:

“Then the Lord reached out and touched my mouth and said, ‘Look, I have put my words in your mouth! Today I appoint you to stand up against nations and kingdoms. Some you must uproot and tear down, destroy and overthrow. others you must build up and plant.’” God put His words in Jeremiah’s mouth. God’s words create. He put those creative words in Jeremiah’s mouth so he could decree them and they could go forth and create, perform, and accomplish things for Him. 

He goes on in Jeremiah 1:12 and says, “That’s right. From this know that I am watching over My word until it is accomplished.” No word spoken by God is without power, and He has placed those words in His Ekklesia’s mouth to speak. So, here He is saying, “I am going to talk to My people in this nation through you, Jeremiah. Your words are going to make changes in this nation until I say it is finished!” 

Are you getting this? His words in our mouth will go forth and DO what He has sent them to do. Some will remove some things. Some will create new things. New physical stuff, like salvation and healing, but also changes in hearts and minds, laws and curriculums. Do you see that? 

“See, I am putting my words in your mouth. Today I have put you in charge of nations and kingdoms. You will pull up and tear down, destroy and overthrow, build up and plant.” (Jeremiah 1:9b and 10; NCV)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • What is God is saying to you? Maybe it is, “I have appointed you over your family.” “I have appointed you over your neighborhood.” “I have appointed you over your child’s school.” “I have appointed you over your city (or county or state).” “I have appointed you over this nation.” Maybe it is an assignment over something else, like lost souls, occult structures, homelessness, trafficking, hunger, or racism. You will know. Whatever it is, accept the assignment.
  • Be encouraged! Rejoice! He will fill your mouth with His words.
  • Say, “God, Your words create! Your words root out, tear down, build, and plant. Your words heal and deliver and transform. Fill my mouth with Your words.”
  • Find one thing out of order in the nation’s government. Ask God for a Word to decree into that situation.

A prayer you can pray:

Father, You are giving Your Church a deeper understanding of the concept of speaking Your creative words into the earth. In this year of the decree, we are learning something more about the power of partnering with You to receive Your Words and decree them into the earth, so You can create what You need to. So many dreams of Yours will come to pass. So many people will be set free, saved, healed, and delivered. Your Church is going to be on the move. We are going to have to go out and see and decree. 

We are going to look at things differently. We are going to look at things in the government and know we are anointed as the Ekklesia of God to speak against the powers of darkness and what some are doing there. We will not speak against people, but against what the enemy is doing to prevent Your purposes from coming to pass. Government is not going to shift on its own. We can’t look to government to just make itself right. We are Your government in the earth. Put Your words in our mouths, so we can speak into the atmosphere and shift the atmosphere. We will see things in the earth respond to Your words released by Your Ekklesia. You will be watching. You watch over your Word to asah with it. You will cause it to DO your will. Let the new created things come forth in Jesus’ creative Name! Amen.

Government will shift by the creative Word of the Lord in the mouth of God’s people.
