Living in the Spirit in Everyday Life
There are prophetic gifts in the earth realm right now that are stifled. They are buried by fear. God says, “You are going to have to break out of that fear, and allow me to start using you prophetically.” The Lord wants to start releasing this outside the walls of the church.
He is going to move us into the realm where we are healing the sick on Monday. In fact, a year from now, if you are not seeing miracles take place on Monday through Saturday, you are behind schedule. We are moving into a season where He is tired of being limited to Sunday morning, or a conference. He’s ready to start moving in the supermarkets and the business place, and in the backyard, and in the school buildings. He is tired of being confined. The Kingdom of God is not limited to any building, or on Sunday morning from 10-noon.
God is ready to break out everywhere!
Peter’s shadow couldn’t show up until they moved outside the building. Peter had to be outside in the streets, in the sun. The man at the Gate Beautiful wasn’t healed in a service. He was healed on a street corner. Jesus did most of His miracles outside where the people were. Get out there!
“As a result of the apostles’ work, sick people were brought out into the streets on beds and mats so that Peter’s shadow might fall across some of them as he went by.” (Acts 5:15; NLT)
Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:
- Hear the Lord say to you, specifically, “You are going to have to break out of that fear, and allow me to start using you prophetically.”
- Let any fear that you have fall away as you let that Word penetrate your spirit.
- Meditate on Acts 5:15.
- If you have the time, read all of Acts 3 and 4 and allow the Holy Spirit to increase your faith. Notice the miracles that took place, and where they took place. Notice the effect on the growth of the Church.
- Think about the many places you go in a day. Ask the Lord to move prophetically through you in those places.
A prayer you can pray:
Lord, I hear You saying, “You are going to have to break out of that fear, and allow me to start using you prophetically.” Your words are reverberating in my spirit man. I know this is the truth. This is the time. I have hidden my gifts in my heart or used them in a safe place inside the walls of the church. I cannot do that any more. Too many need to see You. Too many souls must be saved. As I read chapters 3 through 5 of the Book of Acts, I see that miracle followed miracle and almost none were performed inside the walls of a synagogue. They were done where the people were. The lame man sat for his whole life in a place where everyone could see his need, but none could help him. You used that man’s impossible and hopeless situation to start a major expansion of the Church and the Kingdom. Lord, I want that now! I want to be a part of that kind of a move of God in my generation! This is that generation where we will once again prophesy, heal the sick, raise the dead, and cast out demons, all in the marketplace. We will not hesitate to speak and act everywhere we go. Nowhere can be considered improper for the movement of the Holy Spirit, if it means the salvation of souls. Our places of employment, the halls of our schools, in government offices, at Starbucks, and fast food restaurants, Jesus will be found at work through us. We will express You at football games and theme parks and gas stations. Wherever people are found, we will look for opportunities to be Your hands and Your mouthpiece. Lead us to them, Jesus. Fill our hearts with compassion and our mouths with Your words. Amen.
Today’s decree:
God is ready to break out everywhere through His people!
