The Word of the Lord is Going to Transform a Generation of Americans

If we, as the Caleb generation, don’t take out our giants, the next generation can’t conquer their giants. The opposite is also true. The young folks that are shooting each other in the streets are shooting each other in the streets because the generation before them allowed it to happen. The giants are ruling, because we allowed the giants to rule. God is more interested in saving this generation than in judging them. 

God is about to do something in America. He’s about to raise up a generation that IS “debir” (ones where the Presence of God dwells). They will carry a deep intimacy with God. They will be filled with His Presence and His Word. They will be a giant-killing generation. They will return the Word of the Lord to the nation. The Word of the Lord is going to return to government. It’s going to return to the schools. It’s going to return to the churches. It’s going to return to the streets. And when the Word of the Lord comes, it changes everything!

The Word of the Lord breaks through. The Word of the Lord is salt. The Word of the Lord is a fire. The Word of the Lord is transforming. The Word of the Lord is creative. The Word of the Lord delivers and heals. It resurrects! The Word of the Lord is returning! 

“Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation. Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky as you hold firmly to the word of life.” (Philippians 2:14-16a; NIV)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Rededicate yourself to spend time in God’s Word daily. 
  • Repent if you have been complacent about taking the giants out in your territory. If you have not known to do this, ask the Lord for instruction. It’s not too late! Here and here are some good resources for spiritual warfare.
  • Intercede for the next generation. Pray that they, first and foremost, find a place of salvation and intimacy with God. 
  • Ask the Lord to minister to the deepest needs of the young generation. Pray that they encounter a loving, but powerful God. Pray that they become hungry for His Word, then become salt and light for everyone around them.
  • Ask God to use these young firebrands to invade their cities and the culture with His transforming love, grace, salvation, and deliverance.

A prayer you can pray:

Father, I desire to immerse myself in Your Word. Make me even more hungry for the truth in the Bible. There are things I want to learn about You. I want to know Your ways. I want to know how to take giants down in my generation and in my territory. I want to make it easier for the young to take their giants out. Also, if they have less warfare, they can focus on intimacy with You, which is the most important thing! Draw them to Yourself. Make them hungry for Your Word. Fill them with Holy Spirit. Make them like David, men and women after Your own heart. Grace them to carry Your Word and Your Presence into the darkest places in their neighborhoods, cities, and in this culture. They can only handle it if You fill them completely! Give them holiness and a Holy boldness to witness. Make them creative, transforming, healing, and delivering ministers of Your Good News, Jesus. Amen.

A generation filled with the Word and the Presence of God is rising up, and our nation will be saved!
