Pray Today for Heartbeat Bills to Pass!

“Just a quick note of update…The effort to keep hearts beating is going strong! Pastor Corey Shankleton, who helped us pass the Ohio Heartbeat Bill, has moved to Michigan and is leading their effort. I traveled with him throughout Michigan speaking to churches, pro-life groups, and houses of prayer (video here). God is moving! People were coming forward crying, saying ‘I have prayed for this day to come.’ The opportunity to end abortion for which we have prayed is HERE.  

“I’ll be testifying for the Tennessee Heartbeat Bill today. If both Michigan and Tennessee pass Heartbeat Laws, then EVERY state in the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals will have done so—sending a very strong message to the Supreme Court to take up and review our law and reexamine Roe v Wade.” (Janet Porter)

  • Janet Porter started this journey nine years ago. Bless her for standing strong and tirelessly in this long battle.
  • The Heartbeat Bill states that abortion cannot occur when there is a detectable heartbeat. While we know that life begins at conception, this is a huge step forward that will stop 95% of abortions. “When the heartbeat is detected, the baby is protected.” Thank the Lord and pray that many states will adopt this pro-life legislation.
  • The Heartbeat Bill requires that doctors must test for a fetal heartbeat. Intercede for every Heartbeat Bill coming up. Begin with Tennessee and Michigan.
  • If there is a heartbeat, the woman must be informed. Declare that Planned Parenthood and similar organizations will not be able to withhold information any longer about a woman’s unborn child.
  • It requires protection of babies. Abortion cannot occur or a felony will be committed. Praise God for the ending of abortion in America!

A prayer you can pray:

Father, we bless Janet Porter for her bold stand and tireless journey to see Heartbeat Bills passed in as many states as possible. Bless Ohio for taking the lead. We ask You to grace Janet and those working with her to continue to take this message from state to state, until as many as possible will pass this simple legislation. Even the unsaved are agreeing with the measurement that a baby should live if its heartbeat is detected. It crosses even political lines. When a heartbeat is detected, a baby is protected! Science says a heartbeat is the presence of life, so let the legislation pass! Let state after state after state pass this legislation. We especially pray for Tennessee, who is considering it this week, and Michigan, considering it soon. We say that women will no longer have information about their baby’s life withheld from them any longer! Let the truth be known! God, we praise You for the ending of abortion in America! Amen.
