The Father is Leading Us to Worship in a New Way – Part 8
The Focus of Our Worship is His Worthiness
“Worthy is the Lamb! Worthy is the Lamb! In Revelation 4 and 5, it says, ‘Come up here, John. Let Me show you a different level of worship than is going on in the seven churches around you.’ There are times where we are in a particular form of worship and the Lord says, ‘Come up here and let me show you beyond what your experience is.’ The whole Book of Revelation is a rearrangement of worship and how God is saying, ‘This is how the 7 churches, the predominant churches of the territory and in the world, are worshipping right now. John, come up here.’ Then, John says, ‘I heard the sound of a trumpet, then, all of a sudden, he showed me a door into a new worship room.’ That’s what the Lord is doing right now. He’s saying to us, ‘Come up here. I AM Father. I AM the beginning of worship. I AM the beginning of your expression of worship back to me. Come up here. Let Me show you something.’ Worship is linked with worthiness. Also, God is wealthy. A lot of times, we are expressing our love for Him, because He is wealthy and we want some of His wealth, as opposed to Him just being worthy. This applies to all of us. He wants to give us a portion of His wealth. However, He wants us to understand that He is worthy and He owns the cattle on a thousand hills. Once we understand His worthiness, He opens the door to His wealthiness. He is saying to us now, ‘Come up here and worship in a new way, because I have got a bunch of wealth I need to hand out this year. I can’t give My wealth out, if you won’t allow me to rearrange My worship.’” (Chuck Pierce)
“Worthy are You, our Lord and our God, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and because of Your will they existed, and were created.” (Revelation 4:11; NASB)
Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:
- Worship Him in the prayer below. Continue with your own words that express His worthiness.
- Expect His breakthroughs in your life, but focus on His great worth!
- Worship Him over America with that same prayer and add your own expression of His worthiness.
A prayer you can pray:
Father, we ask You to grant us revelation of Your worthiness. You alone are God. Forgive us when we treat You as One who is common, instead of the magnificent One. You are so worthy of our worship! You are the only one who is! We worship You, Holy Father with Your Word from 1 Chronicles 16: 23-36.
“Sing to the Lord, all the earth; proclaim his salvation day after day.
Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples.
For great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; he is to be feared above all gods.
For all the gods of the nations are idols, but the Lord made the heavens.
Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and joy are in his dwelling place.
Ascribe to the Lord, all you families of nations, ascribe to the Lord glory and strength.
Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; bring an offering and come before him.
Worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness.
Tremble before him, all the earth!
The world is firmly established; it cannot be moved.
Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad; let them say among the nations, ‘The Lord reigns!’
Let the sea resound, and all that is in it; let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them!
Let the trees of the forest sing, let them sing for joy before the Lord, for he comes to judge the earth.
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.
Cry out, ‘Save us, God our Savior; gather us and deliver us from the nations; that we may give thanks to your holy name, and glory in your praise.’
Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting.”
You are worthy of our worship, wonderful One! We worship You in Jesus’ name, amen.
Today’s decree:
Worthy are You, our Lord and our God, to receive glory and honor and power!
