How to Have Good Government and True Justice

“You can have the best form of government and still have bad government if you do not have good people in it. Our Republic has not failed, but we have failed the Republic. The present growing crisis could have been avoided if we had honored our national fathers by heeding their warnings, especially about the threat of judicial tyranny. Because judges are now so politicized, making decisions based more on political prejudices or expediency rather than the merits of each case or its adherence to the Constitution, increasingly desperate political maneuvering now dominates the judicial branch. For there to be true justice, no politics should be allowed in the judicial, and we have drifted far from that now. A strong, just, independent judiciary is necessary for true justice. This can only be recovered and maintained by strong, just, independent judges who are committed to staying in their lane as established by the Constitution. For any judge to legislate from the bench, or make law, is unconstitutional. Congress alone was given the authority to make laws, not the judiciary or executive branches. Weak, inept leadership in Congress has allowed its authority to be usurped by both the judicial and executive branches. Every time this is allowed and goes uncontested by Congress, the Constitution’s authority as the supreme law of the land, the land is weakened and we continue spiraling down toward a terrible chaos.

“You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people’s feet.” (Matthew 5:13; ESV)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Ask the Lord to make the Church salty; very salty, speaking the Truth of the Word of God without hesitation.
  • Call for the Church to be be overseers of righteousness and justice in governmental matters through our intercession.
  • Pray for the nine current Supreme Court Justices. Find them here.
  • The Court just completed its 2018-2019 hearing schedule. We have 6 months until the 2019-2020 Calendar begins. Let us serve as good stewards of our nation’s justice system and begin now to intercede for the next Court cycle, which begins in October.
  • Pursue righteousness in the upcoming U.S. Supreme Court judgements.
  • Look up scripture on “justice” and proclaim the Word over the Court. Here is a good source.
  • Declare, “The three branches of the U. S. government will now come into proper order and Constitutional relationship with one another!”

A prayer you can pray:

Father, the Church has lost its saltiness. We have become tasteless, unimpactful, even invisible to many. Shake us up and spice us up! Let us be noticed again. Give us words of truth that have meaning and effect governmental change. May our prayers be specific, targeted, passionate, compassionate, and effective. Help us to see ourselves as your overseers of righteousness and justice, as we intercede. Strongholds need to fall. We say into our three branches of government. Get in order! Function with one another in accordance with the roles set out for you in the U. S. Constitution. Stop fighting with one another and start governing rightly together! We call for the Supreme Court to get out of politics! Assume the role assigned to you. Lord, show us how to pray in advance of the next Supreme Court session. We want the Court to be bathed in intercession. We want our Justices ready to judge with righteous judgement and not political persuasion. Let us keep an eye out for upcoming cases, and begin praying now for those the Court takes, and what decisions will be made. Grace us with favor in Your heavenly courtroom, in Jesus’ name, amen.
