Holy Thursday
We have entered the season when Jesus, our Christ, died on the cross, resurrected from the dead and opened the door to eternal life. We enter into new life the moment we say we believe in all the Jesus did for us. We are now citizens of His Kingdom – Kingdom-advancers! Today is what traditional denominations call Holy Thursday. It is the day Jesus introduced His pending personal sacrifice and introduced communion to them.
“While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, ‘Take it; this is my body.’ Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, and they all drank from it. ‘This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many,’ he said to them. ‘Truly I tell you, I will not drink again from the fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new in the kingdom of God.’ When they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.” (Mark 14:22-26; NIV)|
Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:
- Thank the Father for sending Jesus – to save us, deliver us, heal us, and teach us the ways of His Kingdom.
- If you have the ability to take communion today, go get some bread and wine or juice. Include friends or family members or enjoy it alone with the Lord. Just follow the scripture above. Be aware of Him and the exchange of His sinless life for yours.
- Believe you are healed as you partake of the blood of the new covenant.
- Believe you are delivered of challenging circumstances as you remember He came to give you life and that abundantly!
- Worship Him.
A prayer you can pray:
Follow the prayer points above today. The focus is on receiving communion together with Him and receiving all of the benefits of your salvation!
