Spiritual Warfare for a New Generation

“This is a year we are going to learn more about spiritual warfare. Everything that came out in the ‘90s is getting ready to be refreshed and re-taught, because there’s a whole new generation of millennials that are going to have a new interest in these things. There’s going to be a revival of the millennials. ‘In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice.’ We are the sons and daughters of Abraham. We are of the seed of Abraham, so the generations and the nations are our inheritance. This nation and the nations of the earth are going to open up to us, such as this generation has never seen.” (Cindy Jacobs)1

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Intercede for Believers that are 40 and younger. Pray that they would desire to understand how to defeat the enemy for their generation and release the great harvest of souls.
  • Ask God to give these younger ones instruction in spiritual warfare to combat the issues of today. Millennials and younger are all about social justice and will pray to end sex-trafficking, racial injustice, and poverty.
  • Ask God to give them a heart to deal with the sexual perversion issues their peers are facing, such as sexual-identity issues and internet porn. Intercede for sexual purity in our nation, especially among the young.
  • If you have “Intercessory Prayer”, by Dutch Sheets, or “Possessing the Gates of the Enemy”, by Cindy Jacobs, pull them out and start reading them again. These are good resources on the basics of spiritual warfare.

A prayer you can pray:

Father, I am standing in the gap for the millennials of our nation. I believe the prophets that You are ready to light them on fire with a passion for intercession and spiritual warfare. Another generation is entering the battle en masse. Train their hands for spiritual warfare to defeat the demonic enemies of their generation in America. They have a passion for compassion issues. Break their hearts for what breaks Yours. I am asking You to grant sexual purity in them. God, deliver them from all forms of perversion, which have been made common in the media, by the education system, and by their peers. Thank you for showing them the tools to understand spiritual warfare. Bless the nation as they do battle in Jesus’ name. Amen.
