Grateful Response from Israel

Jerusalem has “been the capital of Israel for nearly 70 years. Jerusalem has been the focus of our hopes, our dreams, our prayers for three millennia. Jerusalem has been the capital of the Jewish people for 3,000 years. It was here that our temples stood, our kings ruled, our prophets preached. We’re profoundly grateful for the President for his courageous and just decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and to prepare for the opening of the US embassy here. I share President Trump’s commitment to advancing peace between Israel and all of our neighbors, including the Palestinians. And we will continue to work with the President and his team to make that dream of peace come true. I call on all countries that seek peace to join the United States in recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and to move their embassies here. I also want to make clear: there will be no change whatsoever to the status quo at the holy sites. This has been our goal from Israel’s first day. Israel will always ensure freedom of worship for Jews, Christians, and Muslims alike. President Trump, thank you for today’s historic decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital. Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Rejoice with Israel, for it is a day of rejoicing.
  • Call Jerusalem “The City of Truth!” Intercede for those living in Jerusalem that do not understand what is happening. Pray that they will “hear” the voice of the Prime Minister when he says that Israel will ensure freedom of religion and that Middle-east peace is still the goal.
  • Pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
  • Ask the Lord to increase the friendship between the United States and Israel and to reverse the effect of any past leadership decisions that had the opposite effect.

A prayer you can pray:

Lord, I continue to rejoice over President Trump’s decision to formally acknowledge Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and to move our US Embassy there! I call Jerusalem “The City of Truth!” I say that truth shall rule and reign there. I say that those who live in Israel, and especially in Jerusalem, will believe that Prime Minister Netanyahu means what he says! Religious freedom shall be honored in Israel. Peace will be the standard and the goal there. Lord, grant peace to that magnificent city, which You established out of Your love for Your people. Deepen the friendship between the United States and Israel for Your name’s sake. Amen.

Today’s decree:

I decree that the friendship between the United States and Israel will deepen as we move into Jerusalem.
