We Must Have Him!
The same glory that brings blessing and breakthrough, brings judgement. It happened to Uzzah, who was bringing the ark back into Jerusalem. He reached out and touched the ark when he thought it would topple over, and he died. David and the Israelites had presumptuously decided to carry the ark their way. I travel a lot trying to stir awakening, and I’m finding people everywhere I go that are crying out for His Presence. They are willing for the judgement to come. They must have His glory! We may have done things wrong in the past in this nation, even prostituted His glory. However, there comes a time when a remnant is crying out loudly enough that we want to carry His presence His way. We must have Him!
“In that day the LORD of hosts will be a crown of glory, and a diadem of beauty, to the remnant of his people.” (Isaiah 28:5; ESV)
Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:
- Stir up a desire in yourself to be desperate for His Presence and glory.
- Ask Him to forgive you and His Body for trying so many ways of their own to get Him to show up.
- Pray for all the desperate ones across this nation who are crying out night and day for Him. Declare they will have Him in His power and glory!
- Tell Him that He may come any way He wants, but “I must have You, Jesus!”
A prayer you can pray:
Lord, I stir myself up in my most holy faith and say, “I am desperate for You!” I know so many who are calling for You, all across America. Forgive us for trying to get You to show up in all kinds of man-made ways. Desperate people do desperate things. I pray for all the desperate ones tonight and ask that You do not judge us, Lord, but that You see our hearts’ cry and come to us. Show us Your glory, Jesus. I, personally, can’t wait any longer! I must have You!
Today’s decree:
I decree that we, the American Ekklesia, must have You, Jesus!
