History Speaks – John Locke
“And where the body of the people or any single man, is deprived of their right, or is under the exercise of a power without right, and have no appeal on earth, then they have a liberty to appeal to heaven…” 1 The Church is in a battle for religious freedom today, even as at our nation’s foundation. We have an eternal right to appeal to heaven!
“Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” (Hebrews 4:16; NKJV)
Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:
- Come before the Lord in humble prayer and make a list before Him of the areas you see where Christians are battling for their freedom in America today.
- Present this list before the Lord and ask Him to intervene on behalf of His people.
- Thank the Lord that He has heard your request. Do this regularly.
A prayer you can pray:
Dear Lord, thank you that I am able to come before your throne with boldness knowing that You receive me whenever I come. Lord, there are those in our nation who need your help desperately in this hour. Christians and our beliefs are under attack by those that do not know You. (List those things you know about.) Forgive them, Lord, and move on behalf of Your children. Amen.
Today’s decree:
I decree that the Lord hears the cries of His children for mercy and help, and He moves quickly to deliver them!
