Build and Plant

“The Lord showed us clearly that this is a new season where the ekklesia is being given the anointing not only to root out, and tear down, but this will be a special season of building and planting. The revelation of blessing our cities and nations will be a kingdom anthem for the ekklesia.  If we root out, but do not plant, then the nations will only be exposed to worse than they had been before. Therefore, we admonish the intercessors to pray beyond the tearing down of old systems and pray into the structures and systems that need to form afterward. Let’s intercede for new leaders and effective systems to be put in place that will build up their nations.”1

“See, today I appoint you over nations and kingdoms to uproot and tear down, to destroy and overthrow, to build and to plant.” (Jeremiah 1:10; NIV)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • We have warred much. We have warred, because we love much. We have passionately torn down. Ask the Lord to stir up that compassion now to build up!
  • Pray for the building up of our nation’s hopeless ones, due to poverty, sickness, joblessness, broken relationships, etc.
  • Spiritually build up the fatherless, the lonely and the elderly.
  • Prayerfully build up the broken cities—Detroit, Chicago, New Orleans, and others that you know of.
  • Ask the Lord for strategies to rebuild our healthcare system, our nation’s economics, immigration and energy systems.

A prayer you can pray:

Father, we thank You for teaching us how to use Your Word to war against the enemy. The ekklesia has been passionate about seeing wrong structures torn down and rooted out. It’s time now for the building up of the nation. We need Your strategies. Our hopeless citizens need you: the lonely, our veterans, our elderly and the disabled. Some of our cities need rebuilt, physically and spiritually. Where crime and violence, joblessness and systemic poverty have taken root, we ask for Your strategies to replace these things with revelation of You, life-giving activities, renewed economies and vibrancy. Grant wisdom for the rebuilding of our healthcare system, our immigration system and many other things our nation needs. Thank You, Jesus. Amen.

Today’s decree:

We have uprooted and torn down, now it is time to build and to plant!
