Restoring the Family Altar

“These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart. 7 You shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up.” (Deuteronomy 6:6-7; NASB)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Thank the Lord for showing us a key to revival in America—the relighting of the family altar in prayer.
  • Ask the Lord to strengthen believing families across America.
  • Pray for your own family and ask the Lord for prayer strategies for your family to know the Lord in fullness.
  • Get Cheryl’s book, The Prayer-Saturated Family, and use the resources and prompts to help you build your family altar.
  • Let your Pastor know about this and ask them to participate.

A prayer you can pray:

God, I thank You that You have revealed to the prophets a key to revival in America—restoring the family altar. We believe the Word of the Lord for this year. Strengthen our families as we learn to pray together more effectively, Lord. Let us not neglect this. Stir the hearts of the fathers and mothers to their children and may we not be neglectful in this. Grant us a deep relationship with You as a family. Thank You for providing resources to help us. Grant us favor to help get our churches and other families on board, as well. To Your glory, Jesus. Amen.

The fire of the family altar will be restored in 2017 and will result in revival in America!
