Welcome to 2017!
What exciting days we are living in! Watch for the world stage to get very busy, as it relates to the United States. Governing world powers will challenge our new President over Israel, energy, trade, immigration and other global issues. Internally, there will be conflict over the Supreme Court, what to do about Obamacare, abortion law, job creation and a number of other matters. Never forget that God is ultimately in control and that we look to Him for His path forward.
“And it will be said in that day, ‘Behold, this is our God for whom we have waited that He might save us. This is the Lord for whom we have waited; let us rejoice and be glad in His salvation.” (Isaiah 25:9; NASB)
Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:
- This year must begin with worship!
- Tell the Lord that you are looking to Him for salvation of our nation and of your family and friends. Acknowledge that He alone is Savior and Lord of the earth.
- Decide that you will intercede this year on a whole new level. Ask God for the grace to do so.
- Get a notebook and ask the Lord how to focus your prayers. Write down any scripture and/or insights He gives you.
- Rejoice, rejoice rejoice! God is at work! He is answering our prayers in this year of Breakthrough!
A prayer you can pray:
I worship You, Lord God of the universe! You are Lord of my life and God over this nation. I exalt You and praise Your holy name! I refuse to look anywhere else for someone to put this nation back on a healthy, God-honoring track. I look to You and You alone to save us! The enemy is threatening our nation, Lord, particularly our nation’s new leadership. However, You will show me how to join many other intercessors and pray prayers Your way. I will document what You are doing, for this is going to be a year of miracle Breakthroughs! I rejoice in the God of my salvation! Jesus! Amen.
Today’s decree:
Behold, this is our God for whom we have waited that He might save us. This is the Lord for whom we have waited; let us rejoice and be glad in His salvation!
