GH15 is joining in a national call to prayer before the 2016 Elections:
As One – A National Appeal to Heaven
40 Days of Prayer Walking the Nation
Here is Today’s Focus:
Compassion:
Sympathetic consciousness of others’ distress together with a desire to alleviate it
Matthew 9:35-36 (NKJV)
“Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd.”
PRAY:
Jesus, I pray that in this election season, you would open my eyes in compassion to those who are weary and scattered, to the lost who are like sheep without a shepherd. May my vote be a compassionate vote—a vote of concern for those who need your healing. May the voice of your people in America today be one of compassion in response to the great needs facing our country at this time, and may the leaders we elect be compassionate as well.

Hurricane Matthew Aftermath
Please specifically pray for our southern coastal states of Florida, Georgia, North and South Carolina. Ask the Lord for mercy and grace for residents there who have suffered many losses, including a few deaths. Click here for a good place to give to USA hurricane relief efforts. Pray for residents of Haiti, as well, as they have lost almost 900 lives, countless dwellings, and water and electricity are desperately needed. Click here for a good way to help those in need in Haiti.
