It’s Time to Dream Again
“For many believers their dream of ministry has died in the tomb of hope deferred, or trampled by insecure leaders and other believers, who did not encourage them to pursue their destiny or crushed by the trials of this life. However, your story is not over. God wants you to get into His storyline of redemption that will see the prodigal come home and a lost world saved. It’s time for your heart to beat again for the work of ministry the Lord has called you too. Are you ready? Are you ready to take the risk required to see a God-given dream resurrected? God believes in you. He put His dream within you. He is chasing you today to fulfill His destiny in your life. Begin to declare today, ‘He is my hope, He is my life and He is my source.’ Tell you heart to beat again.” (Ken Malone)1
“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time. In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials.” (1 Peter 1:3-6; NIV)
Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:
- Receive the Lord’s balm of Gilead to your heart’s wounds if your dreams have died for the reasons stated above. Let Holy Spirit minister to you.
- Read 1 Peter 1:3-6 and pray it into your life. See God as your heart’s shield, your Savior, and your hope.
- Tell your heart to beat again and tell the Lord you are ready to risk dreaming again. Get a pen and paper out and ask Him to resurrect those dreams.
- If you feel you have never had a dream from God for your future in His Kingdom, get that pen and paper ready. Ask Him for one now.
A prayer you can pray:
Father, my heart is a bit shut down due to so many attacks against me and the dream(s) you have given me. Pour the balm of Gilead over my heart and heal it, Lord. Heal my emotions. As I pray 1 Peter 1:3-6 over my life, help me to know You as my heart’s shield, my Savior and the hope of my life. I command my heart to beat again! I want to risk dreaming with You, Lord. Resurrect dreams I have allowed to die. Give me new, fresh dreams of things we can accomplish together for this nation! Thank you, Jesus! Amen.
Today’s decree:
I decree my heart will beat again and I will dream together with God for my city and nation and watch those dreams come true!
