Consecrated Ones

Periodically, the Lord will pour out an anointing of consecration on a generation. It is a wave of Holy Spirit led holiness. A hunger for the Word and a thirst for righteousness grabs hold of the people, especially the young. In this wave of passion for the Lord, apathy flees. A cry for the hearts of the fathers to turn to the children rises. The effects of sin on the generation suddenly break and the beauty of freedom from sin washes over them, instead. These are those God launches into the harvest fields of the nation and the earth.

“God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” (2 Corinthians 5:21; NIV)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Ask the Lord to create a passion and hunger for the Word of God in this generation.
  • Pray that this hunger for the Word will cause a wave of consecration, righteousness and holiness to take the place of religiosity in the American Church.
  • Intercede for this generation to have the effects of fatherlessness, condemnation from sin and shame broken off of them in a moment!
  • Decree that these Nazarites will be launched into the harvest here and abroad!

A prayer you can pray:

Lord, we ask that biblical illiteracy would be broken off of the young generation. We’re asking that Your Word would take first place in their lives. We’ve seen glimpses in years past and we ask for another wave of consecration to come. Burning fiery ones, God! Nazarite consecration on a generation. Let Your Word be esteemed again in this generation. We break apathy and fatherlessness, condemnation and shame off of them and we release them to be who You made them to be. Let them take the gospel to the nation and the farthest reaches of the earth. In Jesus’ Name, amen. (Matt Lockett)1

Today’s decree:

This shall be a consecrated generation passionate about and filled with the Word of the Lord and reaping an unprecedented harvest of souls in the United States and the nations of the earth!
