Pray God’s Word
To be sure our prayers are aligned with the will of God, we can pray directly from Scriptures. Jesus, when tempted by the devil, quoted God’s Word to defeat him: “It is written…” It is also the strongest weapon in our spiritual arsenal. Whatever prayer burden we are carrying today—we can be in agreement with Him when we pray from His Word…Scripture.1 (Quin Sherrer)2
“For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword…piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit…able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:12; NASB)
Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:
- Lord, show me Scriptures to pray over my situation or (name prayer focus).
- Help me to move in faith, not fear.
- God, turn our difficulties (name them) into opportunities!
A prayer you can pray:
Lord, thank You for the Bible, which is packed with wonderful promises! Build my faith as I trust You with the circumstances I am facing—as well as for my country. Give me scriptures to pray over each and every circumstance. Thank You for answering my prayers in Your perfect way and timing, which is always best. Amen.
Today’s decree:
God’s Word is the sword I will use to pray into the most challenging situations that I and my nation face!
