The Lightning of God Will Shock His Enemies

My friend, Dr. Don Lynch, released the following dream at our prayer gathering in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on Tuesday night, December 2. In this dream, I believe I represent the Ekklesia, the praying church in America. I know God released His lightning through our intercession that night and into the early morning, as tens of thousands of believers decreed His purposes into the land. We must not stop until He has fully accomplished His work in America.

“In the dream, the lightning of God filled the skies over Philadelphia. I (Don) was standing in the doorway of a very small shed from colonial times. I could feel a silky thread in my hand and could sense the tug of it as it flew in the wind. My eyes followed it and I could see that it joined with another string, which had a skeleton key attached that sparked with electricity. I knew it was God’s lightning that was flashing and causing the sparking on the key. I realized we had been waiting for this storm. In the dream, I saw an odd container that could collect the power. I could see that the one holding the container was Dutch Sheets.

“In this dream, God was using a real event in history to paint a picture for us. In actual history, Benjamin Franklin flew a kite in a storm with a key attached to its string. This experiment was to conduct electricity. He was assisted by his son, William. Dutch’s first name is William. In this parabolic dream, I saw William Dutch Sheets holding the container and collecting the power; he was collecting the lightning of God! Like a child with wondering eyes, Dutch looked up and said, ‘The air is alive! The air is alive over America!’ He breathed in deeply and seemed to be energized by the lightning of God. 

“Dutch then moved the energized key from the kite and the scene changed; an ancient door now stood before him. He put the sparking key into a hidden lock. As he did, the energized key activated a mechanism inside the door. The ancient door burst open and angels of God were released into the nation. They were not sluggish; they were active! They weren’t there to negotiate, but to establish. Dutch then said, ‘We did it! We did it! We did it!’ Holding the container, he said, ‘Look. We have all we need to finish. Lord, we welcome your lightning to America!’” End of dream.

Don then explained, “Benjamin Franklin went on to invent the lightning rod as a result of his real-life experience. But God is saying to us that we are His lightning rods, collecting His power and releasing it into the earth. America, hold up your hands. Receive the lightning of God! We, the Ekklesia, carry it! And now, we release it! We direct the lightning of God into the land. And we discern that an ancient gate is opened and angels are being released into our nation. The enemy is shocked by the lightning of God. Shockwaves will shock the courts, shock the swamp, shock the world!

“Insert the key into the ancient mechanisms and angels will flood the skies over America. We declare that the enemies of God have no hiding place, for the shockwaves of the lightning of God are hitting this nation. America shall be saved!”

“Listen! Listen to the roar of His voice, to the rumbling that comes from His mouth. He unleashes His lightning beneath the whole heaven and sends it to the ends of the earth. After that comes the sound of His roar; He thunders with His majestic voice When His voice resounds, He holds nothing back.” (Job 37:2-4 NIV)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

• Consider the fact that you are a container for God’s amazing power.
• Ask Him to show you where to release His mighty power
• Ask Him to release multitudes of angels into America in this season.
• Confess that we have all we need to finish this assignment.
• Ask God to shock the courts, the swamp, and the entire nation with his exposure and deliverance.

A prayer you can pray:

Father, in this hinge moment in history, as Your sons and daughters, we release Your lightning into the nation. The thunder and lightning of You, the Most High God, is striking the land. We believe we are to govern this land with the decrees You give us to decree. We must rebuild. Psalm 11:3 says, “If the foundations are destroyed, what will the righteous do?” We must be a Nehemiah company that restores the gates and walls of America. We will use the keys given to us in Your word to do so. We will open the ancient gates and release the heavenly host to come and help us. They will carry out Your word.

Unleash Your lightning, oh God! Cause Your thunder to roll across the land, terrifying Your enemies. Roar with Your majestic voice! Roar and hold nothing back. Strike and strike and strike again. Shock the enemy with the fierceness and swiftness with which You move. Let the power of Your lightning strike and strike and strike again. Expose and uncover until they know they have nowhere to run. It will all come out. The entire plan. We decree: America will be saved!

We release the lightning of God into the land, and the resulting shockwaves of God will uncover every hidden thing that stands in His way!
