An Attempt to Steal America’s History

Let me say a few things about a dream in which President Trump said to me, “Pray that I would finish my 8 years well and the ancient markers of the founding fathers be restored.” And where in another dream, he was going up to the headwaters of the Allegheny River, or the beginning, where things started, and he began to decree that America will complete her course and finish well. 

There is a great destiny on this nation—a God-given destiny. There is a great movement underway, demonically-inspired, by the way, to thwart this. It is trying to steal our history and the fact that God raised up this nation. I want to be clear and say that I’m not at all saying that pleas for justice and peaceful protests against racism are demonically-inspired. America needs to take another step forward in the healing of our nation and the establishing of justice for all. I believe that is happening and will happen. 

Beyond that, there is a movement to try and steal from us our history. They point to almost anything in our beginning and say that we were born with evil motives by evil men. They say things didn’t begin in 1776, but the birth of the nation was in 1619 when slaves were brought into our nation. We existed as colonial extensions of many other nations at that point. Slavery was and is despicable. It did exist back then. It was dealt with in a significant way in the Civil War, as we all know. We have been on a journey since to eradicate racism. I don’t think it will ever be fully eradicated, because it is a heart issue. Satan is the author of all hate and he is behind racism. There will always be people he has access to. Even so, America has made great strides in eradicating the prejudice and racism that exist. The Lord wants to help us move that forward.

Beyond that, notice when God is releasing dreams, insights, and appeals for prayer, asking us to pray regarding our ancient markers. He is asking us to pray about this, because this is our current assignment; our purpose. At the same time, there is an attempt by satan to steal from us and say all of our founders were bad—Washington, Jefferson, the Pilgrims, etc. Those being used by him are saying, “This is bad. We need to rewrite our history. We need to expose the evil of who we really are.” Isn’t it interesting that while God is asking us to pray so we can recover this history, satan is trying to steal our history? 

“This is what the LORD says: ‘Stand beside the roads and watch. Ask for the ancient paths, where the good way is. Walk in it and find rest for yourselves. But they said, “We won’t walk in it!”’” (Jeremiah 6:16; ISV)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

• Acknowledge before the Lord that this nation is imperfect with continuing injustices and pain from generational trauma on some of our people. This is especially true as a result of the sins of slavery and racism.
• Thank the Lord that He is allowing the current upheaval to bring another layer of healing to the people and the land. 
• Pray for the hearts of men to be convicted of sin and come to the Cross of Christ in deep repentance, so they can be saved. 
• Call for the wounded ones to come to the cross to find grace to help in time of need. Only at the cross is there healing for their souls.
• Notice that the enemy has come in to take advantage of this time of Divine exchange at the Cross of Christ. Satan has brought forth many forces all at once to create chaos and hitchhike on real issues, causing more pain and further division. Declare, “Stop, satan! America’s history will not be rewritten. In fact, it will be rediscovered and redeemed!”
• Tell the Lord, “We ask for the revelation of the ancient paths, so we can walk in them and find rest for our nation.”

A prayer you can pray:

Lord, some of the citizens of this nation have experienced racist attacks and the effects of the generational sin of slavery. We are thankful that this nation formally abolished slavery following a great Civil War, where thousands of lives were lost. The cost and bloodshed were so great, but it was worth it that all Americans might be free. We have moved far too slowly at times to correct the sins of our past. There are racists among us and pain is still being caused. Lord, only You can change hearts. Only You can deliver. We ask You to deal with the racist hearts. We can identificationally repent for the sins of our forefathers, but You are the One who heals.

Even while we are working through another layer of repentance and forgiveness, the enemy is looking to steal, kill, and destroy. He wants to keep us all in bondage, where You would set us on a path to be truly free. There are those who even want to rewrite our history saying that we were never a Christian nation. They want to destroy our heritage, so we will not even think to look to You for deliverance. Stop, satan! America’s history will not be rewritten. In fact, it will be rediscovered and redeemed! We will learn from it and correct our course going forward. Save us, Lord, from the wicked ones with destructive agendas. We desire for America to be healed and made one, that beautiful melting pot You created us to be. We ask for the revelation of the ancient paths, so we can walk in them and find rest for our nation. We humbly ask this is Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Today’s decree:

The history of America will be rediscovered, not rewritten!
