The Finishing Anointing in the New Era – Part 6

[We began a very encouraging series 7/16 from a message Chuck Pierce released on Sunday, 7/12.]

“In your testings, you have to press to the end of the test. Some people take lots of courses, but they don’t want to take the tests. However, you are going to have to take the tests to be affirmed that you have overcome. You are going to have to take the test to be affirmed that you have mastered that subject. You are going to have to take the test to be affirmed that you can rise up over what was trying to master you. You are going to have to finish something some way.

“In the 1970s I was trying to break a habit and needed to do something to distract myself, so I did needlepoint. It was tedious and I would want to put it down. Yet, I knew that if I put it down and didn’t get to the end of it, I wouldn’t break the cycle of the other.

“God wants us to have a finishing anointing. He wants us to get to the end of things. There is an action line in your life. You are going to press toward the mark until. You are going to keep action flowing until you cross the finish line. When we moved into our new building, it was a mess. I wondered if I had gone over the edge and made a huge mistake, but I realized I would rather go bankrupt trying to follow God into what He had for us than to go nowhere. I even said that. A month after we moved out of the old place, it was sold. If we hadn’t moved, we wouldn’t have had anywhere to meet!

“That still didn’t tell me how we were going to convert the massive messed up space we had bought into what God wanted for us. God said, ‘You start with the garden, because I started with a garden before I ever built the temple. Until you know how my garden life works, you don’t need to get sequestered in a building. That garden was overwhelming for Pam at first, because that was my wife’s assignment. Yet, she sought the Lord and it became an oasis and a blessing to our whole city.

“‘Behold, I do a new thing,’ says the Lord. ‘Do you perceive what I’m doing?’ There comes a moment when everything shifts. The Lord’s question to us means that we could miss that moment. Then He said, ‘It is finished! The end of what I’ve been called to do is now. Come. I want to say to you, “Well done, my good and faithful servant.”’”

“Watch closely: I am preparing something new; it’s happening now, even as I speak, and you’re about to see it. I am preparing a way through the desert; waters will flow where there had been none.” (Isaiah 43:19; The Voice)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Let the Lord dialogue with you, “How do we finish strong?”
  • At the end of each day, make a list of the things you must accomplish tomorrow. Prioritize it as you begin the new day.
  • Start with the first thing, then move through it until it is complete. If you hit a snag, jump to the next thing and go back. At the end of the day, review and adjust the list, then make a new list for the next day.
  • There are consequences to procrastination and leaving things unfinished. Are there things you have left undone that the Lord is asking you to go back to and finish?
  • Rejoice in the Lord! You will finish well! Keep doing the things above and before long what needs to get finished will get finished.

A prayer you can pray:

Father, I don’t know how everything that needs to be moved forward is going to be moved forward, but I know it has to start somewhere. I believe that the things you have called those of us working together in our congregation or community or sphere to do will have great impact throughout the whole world. We are going to keep moving forward because the Church is called to heal the nation and the nations of the earth.

We decree that the action line in each of us is being activated. Whatever action for faith that’s needed, let there be loosed an anointing for timing. Let a finishing anointing be loosed. Let there be a new resistance and a new strength released in us. We decree the fear of the future, the traumas of the past, and the self-desire of the present will not stop us from finishing what we need to finish this season! It is finished! We will shout it every morning until it manifests in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Today’s decree:

The Church and this nation will flourish and will finish well!
