There is Serious Work to Do

Wherever you read in the Bible up until the birth of Christ, you are going to find a flawed nation and flawed people. Sometimes they were so flawed that they were, like the cultures around them, killing their children and sacrificing them to Baal, Asherah and Molech. Sometimes it got so bad that God would say, “I am going to have to get you completely out of this land, so I can clean it up and clean you up. But, I’m not giving up on my dream! I am still going to do what I said I was going to do. I’m going to have to do some serious work here, because you are a mess. I will do all that, because I am still not giving up on my dream.” 

I don’t care how far America has drifted from the dream God has for this nation. I don’t care how much we might have perverted the dream from the time He established this nation. It has become a selfish dream, even a perverted dream. That doesn’t disqualify us, because it’s not about us! It’s about Him and His purposes! He may get as rough with us as He needs to get with us. He’ll put in place whoever He wants to put in place. He’ll remove whomever He needs to remove. He’ll judge whatever He needs to judge, but you can be sure of this—Papa God is going to get His dream fulfilled.

“For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins. For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood. This sacrifice shows that God was being fair when he held back and did not punish those who sinned in times past, for he was looking ahead and including them in what he would do in this present time.” (Romans 3:23-26; NLT)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

• Let’s intercede for President Trump today. He is a flawed human being, but he is God’s perfect choice for America right now. He is helping to facilitate the turning of the government of the nation to God’s original plans.
• Pray for protection over President Trump. Pray against missteps.
• Declare, “No weapon formed, no demonic strategy formed, is going to prosper against him.”
• Ask God to give him wisdom from above; God’s own wisdom, even He has to bring it through the people He has placed in office around the president.
• Pray for the staff. There are many Believers in the White House. Ask God to work a work of unity among them, so the president and all of his Cabinet can work together to make great God-pleasing advances.
• Ask God to give us a Court that holds to the Constitution and Life for millions of babies.

A prayer you can pray:

Lord, sometimes men of even good stature can make some pretty big mistakes. We pray for President Trump today. We pray that you would not allow the enemy to cause our president to make serious mistakes that will hurt this nation or harm Your plans for America. We pray that You would surround him with Your boundaries. Surround him with angels. Surround him with Your thoughts. I pray that he becomes so surrounded with Your thoughts that, whether he knows it or not, when he wakes up in the morning, he is thinking Your thoughts. When he goes into a meeting, he is thinking Your thoughts. We pray that You would protect him and his team, and every righteous leader in this nation. Surround President Trump and keep him from making wrong choices. If he starts to go down a wrong path, put somebody in the way to stop him and say, “This is not good.” We surround him right now with protective prayers. We say, “No weapon formed, no demonic strategy formed is going to prosper.” You are going to give him Your thoughts and Your wisdom. You are using him to reset some things in the nation. He is resetting the courts in America. He has put a strong pro-life Justice on the Supreme Court and we need more. We need strong constitutional justices – those that know and understand its importance, who will not rewrite it or legislate from the bench. Get your dream fulfilled through our generation, God, in Jesus’ name, amen.
