A Series of “Waits” – Part 3

Becoming One in His Weighty Glory

There is another word for “wait” in Hebrew. It means “wait and become one together”. The picture of it is a braid. You take three strands and braid them together and you get the meaning of this word. You also see in a braid a strength that is multiplied many times over as you bring the three strands together. The concept is to be braided together with Him. Now, you have His heart. You have His mind. You have His strength. When you have waited with trust and with longing, you become one with Him and a deep connection to Him comes. You think His thoughts. You know His heart. You feel His passion for things. This is what causes congregations to change what they were doing when revival hits. It’s not that what they were doing was wrong, but they feel God’s heart moving in a different direction and they know they have to flow with that heartbeat.

The final word I heard, pronounced like the others, was not “wait”, but “weight”. He was saying, “Wait patiently, trusting that I will come to you. Wait for me with longing, so that when I come to You and we are together, and I can share My heart with You, You will experience My weighty Presence. The chabod of God. His Glory doesn’t come to the building or the programs. (There’s nothing wrong with programs, but they should be the result of what happens in the Glory.) The Glory comes on the people as His Presence fills the place. When the weighty Presence of God comes, it changes everything! Demons can’t handle His Presence. They will just cry out and leave. Read your Bible. That’s what happened. Deliverance happens. Miracles happen. Lives are changed. All because the Glory of the Lord comes. All because His people waited on Him.

“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:31; KJV)

“Jesus said to her, ‘Did I not tell you that if you believed you would see the glory of God?’” (John 11:40; ESV)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Isn’t your heart bursting with desire for Him right now? Talk to the Lord about the Glory.
  • Invite Him into Your life in a deeper way. Desire to wait for Him until His weighty Glory falls.
  • Tell Him of this desire. Ask Him to fill your heart, your home, your church, your city, state and nation with His Glory.
  • Call for the Glory to be so heavy that even the lost notice it. Let it become so heavy that demons are squeezed out, the lost are pressed toward Him and the sick are healed in His Holy love and grace.

A prayer you can pray:

Lord, there is a new phase coming to America. Your Glory is coming. It might not look like it right now. Things may seem very dark, with wickedness abounding, but Your Church is going to position itself to repent and wait on You until You fill us with Your Glory. The weighty, heavy, Glory of God is coming. You are seeking relationship, hearts that you can commune with. You want those You can hang out with—those you can talk with, walk with, drive with, just be with. When we get up in the morning, may we greet You with, “Good morning, Dad.” When we go to bed at night, let us say, “Good night, Father. I’ll see You in the morning. May You be the first thing on our hearts each day and the last thing on our hearts at night. Let Your Presence come to us in a new way. We thank You for Your heart. Fill us with Your Glory. Fill our homes with Your Glory as we wait on You there. Fill our churches with Your Glory, as we seek You together there. Let Your Glory flow out and all around us. Let it flood over our cities and states and nation. Let the Glory of the Lord be seen and felt tangibly in the land. Let the lost be drawn to You in the Glory. Let demons flee and set the captives free in the Glory. Let the sick be healed in the Glory. Kingdom advancing Glory come to America, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Today’s decree:

Lord, show us Your Glory!
