Will We Recognize our Kairos Moment?

The Church is always in the midst of a redemptive cycle. God is always moving something on planet earth or in the Church back to the place it is supposed to be. Another word for this is “reformation”. That word means to correct something or to straighten something out. Something has gotten crooked. Something has gotten “off”. Something has fallen and needs to be standing upright again. We should not think of reformation as in the context of the Great Reformation, because we are always going through seasons of restoring things. We are always going through the re-forming of things, because He is always straightening things up. He started at the Fall. He said, “I’m going to correct all of this.” Since that time, we have been going from a “season” to a “kairos moment” in that season, into a fullness of time. Kairos moments are moments of grace to recognize what God is doing. If the Church doesn’t steward the kairos moments correctly, we don’t get the fullness. Then, God goes back and starts over with another generation. Israel is our example of this. Kairos is not a guaranteed time, it’s an opportune time.

“He said to the crowd: ‘When you see a cloud rising in the west, immediately you say, “It’s going to rain,” and it does. And when the south wind blows, you say, “It’s going to be hot,” and it is. Hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of the earth and the sky. How is it that you don’t know how to interpret this present time?’” (Luke 12:56-56; NIV)

“As God’s co-workers we urge you not to receive God’s grace in vain. For he says, ‘In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.’ I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation.” (2 Corinthians 6:1-2; NIV)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Embrace His grace to properly interpret the times and seasons we are in and moving into.
  • Do not look through a political grid! Look with the eyes of the Spirit at national events. Ask the Lord what He is doing. Ask Him to help you interpret what you are seeing.
  • Ask God to straighten out crooked places, correcting what is out of alignment with His purposes.
  • Consider that this is the time of His favor! It is a kairos time. Tell Him you want to move with Him in this time of national Kingdom reformation.

A prayer you can pray:

God, things are shifting rapidly. I can sense that things are changing, moving, realigning. You are answering prayers and the answers are coming quickly! Open up my eyes to see what the Spirit is saying to the Church in America right now. Let me see what You have prophesied in the past seasons that is coming to pass now. Let me see what still needs to come to pass. Grant me a grace to view things through the eyes of scripture and not get caught up in political in-fighting, which is so tempting! You have much for the Church to do right now and I do not want to miss the time of our visitation! Lord, straighten out our nation’s crooked places. Align us to Your design and desire. Where we have strayed from honoring You and focussing on man’s solutions, snap us back in order! I declare, “This is the year of the favor of the Lord. This is the kairos time of my generation! Your Kingdom is advancing and I will be a part of America’s reformation, in the name of Jesus!” Amen.

Today’s decree:

Now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation for America!
