70 Days – Righteousness Exalts a Nation – Day 7
GiveHim15 will be collaborating with Love Ministries in a very special 70-day prayer focus. We are going to take a stand for righteousness in the United States of America from February 9th through Passover, April 19th.
“Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people.” (Proverbs 14:34; NASB)
ESTABLISHED IN RIGHTEOUSNESS
“We recognize no sovereign but God, and no King but Jesus.”—John Adams and John Hancock (signers of the U. S. Declaration of Independence)
Our forefathers recognized that the foundation of this nation was built on God alone, with Jesus Christ as our King. I can hear the song “God of This City”, written by Aaron Boyd, resonating in my spirit today. It begins, “You’re God of this city, the God of this city. You’re the King of these people. You’re the Lord of this nation.” It goes on, “For greater things have yet to come; greater things have yet to be done in this city.” (Click here and read all the words).
Even though it was written several years ago, I believe it is a decree that is still reverberating in this nation. It is a song that has been added to the prayer bowls of incense in the heavenly realm, ready to be poured out in this hour! Greater things are yet to come, America!
“‘In righteousness you will be established, far from oppression, with nothing to fear; far from ruin, for it will not come near you. Any alliance that forms against you will not be my doing; whoever tries to form such an alliance will fall because of you…No weapon made will prevail against you. In court you will refute every accusation. The servants of Adonai inherit all this; the reward for their righteousness is from me’ says Adonai.” (Isaiah 54:14-17; CJB)
This passage is addressed to the “storm-ravaged city” with the promise that God, Himself, will rebuild it and establish it in righteousness. There is a cause! Let us keep standing, decreeing and releasing the righteousness of our God to see revival, awakening, reformation and transformation come to America again!
Give Him 15 minutes of prayer:
- Thank the Lord for our forefathers who laid down their lives for the righteousness of God to be established in this country.
- Let us recognize no Sovereign but God alone, and Jesus Christ as our King.
- Read or sing the song “God of this City” as a decree over your city, spheres of influence and the nation.
- Decree Isaiah 54:14-17 over yourself and your territory.
A prayer you can pray:
Lord, I thank you that Your people are established in righteousness. Oppression is far removed. We have nothing to fear. Ruin will not overtake us or come near. All ungodly alliances that try to form against us will fall. No weapon formed against us will prevail; we refute every accusation of the enemy brought into the courts. This is our inheritance as sons of God, and the reward for our righteousness in Christ. Lord, let this word be established in us and in our nation. Amen.
The 70 Day Decree:
Lord God, we present ourselves unto You a living sacrifice (Romans 12:1). We acknowledge and declare that we are filled with the righteousness of God through Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:11). Your Word tells us that righteousness exalts a nation (Proverbs 14:34). We stand before You in the land You have given us, and we decree and release the righteousness of Christ into our territories, spheres of influence, our cities, states, and nation in order to bring healing, revival, awakening, and reformation to America. Father, let Your Spirit of righteousness be released and established in us, and in every place in which You have given us jurisdiction. Let Your righteous Kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:10)! Prepare the soil of this nation and realign us with Your righteousness! In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
