God is a Lover of Life

“God is the Creator of all life. God is Love. God is Love incarnate in that He gave His only begotten Son to the world, that whoever would believe in Him would live with Him forever. He paid a great price to provide a solution to the death sin created, so that men might live and not eternally die. He loves life, both natural and spiritual. We know that these strong and basic statements of the Christian faith are spiritually discerned. It is not possible for an unsaved mind to comprehend them, unless the Holy Spirit pulls back the blinders off their eyes and lets them see and comprehend. We must be patient with the lost and their thinking, which often stands against God. They do not know how precious life is to Him. Every single life. It matters not to Him the circumstances of the conception or the living standard the child will be born into. He proved that as He planned His own Son’s birth into the arms of an as-yet un-wed mother, who was betrothed to a carpenter, not a king. Consider the location, as Mary went into labor in a foreign country in a stable. His first visitors were shepherds and angels and a few cows and sheep. All of that fulfilled the scriptural plan God had long before laid out – a plan to redeem us and restore us in relationship with Him. God loves life. He cares not the circumstances of our birth, whether rich or poor. He cares not about the occupations or marital status of our parents at the time of our conception. He has always loved us. He loved us from before the foundations of time and He has always had a plan to save us. The unsaved cannot understand this, so we must pray and act to preserve as many little lives as we can – lives God loves.” (Cindy Jacobs)

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16; ESV)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Worship God, the Giver of Life, our Savior, and the Lover of our soul.
  • Pray for miracle salvations for those considering abortion today. Ask the Holy Spirit to open their eyes to the value of the life within them, regardless of their circumstances.
  • Say, “Let the love of God consume them today! May the one seeking to end their pregnancy know how loved they are by Jesus Christ, and how loved their child is.”
  • Have compassion for those seeking abortions. Intercede against any lies the enemy may be telling them, which can cause fear in the mother and/or father, driving them to abort their baby.

A prayer you can pray:

Lord, we worship You. We can never express our love fully to You on this side of heaven. You are the Creator of life and the Giver of it. You love life! You love people! Your whole plan from the beginning was to have a relationship with us. How badly we have messed that plan up. The fact that You still love us, and sent Jesus to save us, is miraculous in our eyes. Let us never take that love lightly. For those considering ending the life of the unborn within them today, we say, “Stop! See God! Feel His love for you and the child within you!” Lord, let the love of God consume them today! May the one seeking to end their pregnancy know how loved they are by Jesus Christ, and how loved their child is. Stop their ears from hearing the enemy say it is okay to abort the baby in their womb. Don’t let them believe the lie that this will free them. They won’t be able to see the chains it puts on their heart and the lock of shame that comes and keeps them from knowing Your deep love. Save them, quickly, Jesus. Amen.

Today’s decree:

We will trust in God for the life that springs forth from us.
