Reforming the Conscience of a Nation
I recently read an article regarding the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, spearheaded by Senator Ben Sasse from Nebraska. It seems that abortionists are continuously using loopholes to allow babies that survive abortions to die on the table, without providing any help or comfort whatsoever. (I can hardly bear the thought.) Sasse, along with 37 other senators, is trying to change this. The article went on to say that if the law makes it through the Senate, it will almost certainly be rejected by the Democrat-controlled House. Inconceivable—unless you consider other things happening in our culture, such as celebrity supporters of abortion are now spearheading the “Shout Your Abortion” movement. In other words, “Don’t be ashamed of your abortion—brag about it.” It is certainly not my intention to shame anyone who has participated in an abortion—God can completely eradicate the sin, shame, and pain. My point is that a portion of America is in desperate need of an awakened conscience.
Nothing can accomplish this but an encounter with God! This is coming! This is why we continue to give all of our efforts to turning America back to God. The coming Third Great Awakening is needed to stop this runaway train, because it is the only thing that can transform the conscience of a nation. God, in His mercy and covenantal faithfulness, is going to send a great revival. A merciful awakening is on the way, through which millions will find salvation and therein, find the mind of Christ. The heart and conscience of a nation will come alive. America will change from the inside.

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:
- Educate yourself on the new abortion legislations being passed across America in the last month. See New York here. See upcoming Vermont legislation here. Here is the suit against the state of Texas, which was heard on January 7th.
- Pray that abortion is eradicated in America.
- Intercede for the salvation of those who do not yet know him.
- Pray for New York Governor Andrew Cuomo to be saved, so his mind can be renewed and he can see life through God’s eyes. Right now, he can’t. Pray for those associated with the pro-abortion groups mentioned in the articles. Ask God to send revival to the places they live – New York, Vermont, Austin, TX, Washington, D.C., etc. Let’s believe together for a turnaround right where it’s darkest!
A prayer you can pray:
Lord, lead me to the information I need in order for me to be able to rend my heart over what breaks Yours. I can’t stick my head in the sand and hope my nation will change without prayer and intercession. Abortion must end in America. The death culture must be overturned by Your Life-giving Awakening flowing through the land. Save those who are currently Your greatest foes. Those that mock life, those that shout about their abortions and feel no shame, those that promote and vote for legislation that kills babies even to the moment of birth—save them! Save our nation from their unholy, God-less ideology! Save those working for Planned Parenthood, Whole Woman’s Health, and the Afiya Center. Draw them to Jesus, Holy Spirit. Only You can deliver them from the enemy’s deception. Send awakening to the states of New York and Vermont, and to the city of Austin, TX. Lord, do what only You can do, as we stand in the gap for Life! Amen.
