Give Him 15 is joining a 40-day national call to prayer before the 2018 Midterm Elections. Here is today’s Focus:

PRAY IN UNITY

Day 31 – Where is the LOVE?

“A new commandment I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” (John 13:34-35; NIV)

When I was 18 and in college, I became part of the LOA Club. LOA stood for “Love One Another.” We were a diverse group, and the beauty was we were all believers and committed to one another. The newbie freshman relished the support from the seniors on campus. John 13:34-35, our Biblical mandate, was put to practice and memory.

Friends, in the battles we face in our appointed times, the Lord knew we would continually need love from others. He knew we need to frequently be the givers of love too.

Every day, we must choose His commandment. We must choose a genuine posture of love—to one another, to those not at all like us, and even to those in complete opposition to us.

Points for Prayer:

LOVE – the LORD your GOD with all your heart with all your soul and with all your mind.

LOVE – your neighbor as yourself.

LOVE – your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.
