Keeping Things Balanced

Gary Bauer, of American Values, said a few years ago, “The courts today are routinely striking down acts of Congress, overturning votes of the people, thwarting the authority of the executive branch on grounds that no one else can find in the Constitution. Slowly, but surely, the courts have set themselves up as masters of government, when in fact they are simply one branch, no more powerful than the executive or the legislative branches, which represent the people. The courts are just as capable of illegality and acting unconstitutionally as the other branches are. But, clearly our founding fathers did not intend for the judiciary to be the Supreme Branch of our government.”1 Things have only barely begun to shift. I don’t see this as a political issue, in case you think I do. I see this as a deeply spiritual issue.

For the Lord is our Judge, the Lord is our lawgiver: the Lord is our King, he will save us.” (Isaiah 33:22; GNV)

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23; NASB)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:

  • Click here to see the Supreme Court Justices. They are people in need of our prayers. Pray for each one.
  • Some of our Supreme Court Justices may know Christ and some may not. Pray that each and every one would be introduced to Jesus Christ, their loving Savior.
  • Our justices may have unredeemed minds. This should not affect their Court decisions, as those are to be based on the U. S. Constitution and the Rule of Law. Without Jesus in their hearts, it is critical that they adhere to the Constitution for their decisions. Decree it so!

A prayer you can pray:

(Click here to see the Supreme Court Justices. They are people in need of our prayers. Pray for each one as the Lord leads.) Father, the most important thing our Supreme Court Justices need is to know Jesus as their Savior and Lord. Being saved will change everything, as righteousness will rule their hearts and they will seek You in their decisions. I ask for each to have a Divine encounter with You soon, if they do not already know You. If they do know You and are weary in well-doing, encourage and refresh them. I call each one to lean on the solid base of the U. S. Constitution for their decision making. It is a document created from prayer and seeking Your face. It is solid and true. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.

Today’s decree:

Our human Justices need Jesus and the U. S. Constitution to make righteous decisions for the nation!
