This Month is KEY for the Supreme Court

“Remember to pray for the Supreme Court heavily, if not daily, during the month of May. There are numerous very important cases which are still under consideration and the decisions are being written right now. Since the beginning of 2018, increased numbers of prayer groups have been praying at, in, and for the Supreme Court. We are commanded to pray for those in authority (see 1 Timothy 2:1-8) and the U.S. Supreme Court is the highest judicial authority and the ultimate interpreter of the Constitution under current precedent. There is a higher court and Supreme Judge of the Heavens with the ultimate authority who will hold all accountable for their actions.” (Allan E. Parker)1

First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior.” (1 Timothy 2:1-3; ESV)

Give Him 15 minutes in prayer:1

  • Pray for religious liberty in the Jack Phillips’ Masterpiece Cakeshop case, which will determine whether or not Christians can be forced to participate in gay weddings. Depending on how the case is decided, it may also affect many other areas on whether or not Christians will be forced to adopt the Homosexual Agenda, including teaching their children that homosexuality is an acceptable lifestyle, etc.
  • NIFLA v. Becerra – This case will determine whether California (and other states) can force crisis pregnancy centers who object to abortions to promote abortions. Again, this is (another) important religious liberty case.
  • Pray for the outcome of the two cases above. “We want a 9-0 decision in NIFLA v Becerra and at least a 6-3 or 7-2 decision in the Masterpiece Cakeshop v Colorado Civil Rights gay wedding/baker case.”
  • Pray for the Court for blessings, salvation, revival, reformation, transformation, and as a last resort, for removal of those who will not follow the will of God from the Court.

A prayer you can pray:

Lord, we come before You and ask that religious freedom in the United States of America would be preserved. Jack Phillips’ Masterpiece Cakeshop case and NIFLA v Becerra are two cases that challenge this freedom for Christians in business and ministry to others. How can a crisis pregnancy center, established to save lives in the womb, be mandated to provide abortion counseling?! This does not make sense and goes against the biblical values underlying the business. It violates the ministry’s first amendment rights. We ask You to send salvation to the justices, blessing those who judge with righteous judgements. Send revival and transformation to the Court. Remove those that will not follow your will or their oath to uphold the Constitution. Thank you, Jesus. Amen.

Today’s decree:

We decree that the Supreme Court justices will rule righteously and make decisions constitutionally.
